Stephanie Einstein is fantastic!! Santino Fontana is a delight! This story is adorable and the full cast and audio production really bring it to life. Highly recommend this fun, quick listen!

Cute story. Good performers. Terrible editing.

This is a sweet story from someone who's clearly familiar with the geek community and sci-fi/fantasy conventions. The performers di a great job, too. The editing is unfortunately not good, and they clearly didn't check it before publishing. There are SO many places where phrases and entire sections are repeated. If you can ignore that, you'll enjoy it.

Not my style, but interesting

The story is interesting, and it gets even exciting in placing. the writing drags during the lengthy explanations, and the main character epitomizes need bros - complete with several misogynist "jokes." wouldn't really recommend it to most people I know for that reason, but it was interesting enough that I stuck with it to find out how it ended.

Exception story, writing & performances

Beautifully written. Powerful story. The performances are excellent. Couldn't put it down! Growing up in the South, there is so much we don't say, and so much women are pressed to bear. This story pays homage to the power of three women amidst secrets and horrors.

As always, Mel Robbins has produced some really fantastic coaching material. The sessions she chose for this audiobook are excellent and helpful on their own, but also go extremely well together. Highly recommend!

Bigoted language a big turn-off

I couldn't make it past chapter 2. The story clearly takes place in the 1990s (they refer to CDs as new), yet the author still chose to use slurs for indigenous Americans and the mentally disabled. The narrator is an ex-nun. I think she's be a little more compassionate, especially in the prose.

Beautiful & thought-provoking

The story is beautifully written and performed. It is also an important glimpse into a culture fractured by political turmoil and the revolutionary-turned-dictator Fidel Castro. Amongst the heart-warming and heart-wrenching romances lies a deeper warning of the dangers of both Batista and Fidel.

Absolutely Stunning

I love the way this book draws in the reader and shows the importance and beauty of living a life that true to one's soul. Brilliantly conceived and written. It took awhile to get to the oint, but every word was worth it - a reminder that the joy is in the journey. I fall more in love with Liz Gilbert with every publication.

Enjoyable but Not Helpful

The premise and twists are good. The story is well-written, and I look forward to more from this author. However, the stereotypes it draws from and perpetuates are harmful. Again, the author is talented, and the characters are complex,, but I hope readers will see past the trite portrayals of the unfaithful man, the conniving woman, and the hysterical woman.
