One dimensional story
Revisado: 10-28-24
I feel like they mailed it in. Predictable ending. Seems like Felix likes money, while Dick loved writing great stories.

Historia
When globe-hopping British First Secretary Peter Darwin returns to his childhood home for a visit, he is sorry. Waiting for him were long-hidden memories, a string of racehorse deaths and homicide. As Darwin begins to realize that the key to all of it involves his own past, he wishes he'd never come back, because he just might never leave again—alive.

HORRENDOUS QUALITY AUDIO RECORDING
Revisado: 01-28-23
Just an hour in, and this is the worst quality audio book I have ever listened to. There is background noise that is very distracting. Like the narrator was watching tv while recording, and you catch bit of the background while there are pauses between words and sentences in the main narration. Also, terrible quality audio in general. As I said, I have not listened enough to rate the story or book itself, but so far I am struggling to get past the horrendous quality of the audio. As a huge Dick Francis fan, I will listen to the entirety of the book, but this is hard listening. I’m amazed this past any level of quality control
