Thank God they changed the narrator!!!
Revisado: 10-13-19
That’s the only reason I was willing to buy the book. The last narrator was awful, this one was much better. The book was entertaining. Light hearted and enjoyable.

Historia
Around the world humans are hallucinating after sleepless nights. In a sterile, underground institute the forecasters keep reporting the same events. And in the backwoods of Texas, a 16-year-old girl is about to be caught up in a fierce, ethereal battle. Meet Roya Stark. She drowns every night in her dreams, spends her hours reading classic literature to avoid her family's ridicule, and is prone to premonitions - which are becoming more frequent.

Bad and whiny
Revisado: 08-16-16
The main character was whiny and selfish. She discovers she has an amazing ability and focuses on petty things and gets annoyed with everyone. Even an angst filled teenager would be able to set the angst aside a bit upon finding out they're now powerful and hyper-capable. DNF @ 20%. She's supposedly had a hard life but acts like an entitled brat. The melodrama and self pity was just too much. I got to where I didn't even care what the plot was, I just didn't want to listen to the main character complain anymore.

Narrator is HORRIBLE
Revisado: 06-09-16
I loved the first book and the narrator was amazing. I don't know why they changed, but the narrator for this book literally made the book so bad I didn't finish. I only listened to ~ 5%. It ruined the book for me.

A little slow in places but overall really enjoyable. Narrator was a little unnatural--quite a bit of affectation in her voice. Looking forward to the next one.

When linguist Andrew Dennison is yanked from his bed by the Secret Service and taken to a top secret facility in the desert, he has no idea he's been brought there to translate the words of an ancient demon. He joins pretty but cold veterinarian Sun Jones, eccentric molecular biologist Dr. Frank Belgium, and a hodge-podge of religious, military, and science personnel to try and figure out if the creature is, indeed, Satan. But things quickly go bad, and very soon Andy isn't just fighting for his life, but the lives of everyone on earth…

Great story but depressing
Revisado: 01-29-15
Great story with very unique elements. But there was nothing happy to celebrate in the whole book. It started in a downer AND it ended in a total downer. I won't be reading the sequel. Also, I didn't care for the narrator at all.

Outstanding narration. Interesting premise.
Revisado: 01-04-15
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Yes. It has a unique basis.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Most interesting--the premise. Least interesting--way too detailed in parts and dragged. It was very in the weeds at times.
What does Scott Merriman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Outstanding narration and amazing accents!
Was The Fire Seekers worth the listening time?
Absolutely.

Historia
Okay, so jogging through Central Park after midnight wasn't a bright idea. But Margrit Knight never thought she'd encounter a dark new world filled with magical beings, not to mention a dying woman and a mysterious stranger with blood on his hands. Her logical, lawyer instincts told her it couldn't all be real, but she could hardly deny what she'd seen...and touched.

Alban. He was mysterious--not too obvious/open a character.
What about Eve Bianco’s performance did you like?
Her voices and accents were great.
