Excellent regional mystery story

It is easy to understand why this story and author won an Edgar award. The story is lively, with interesting character development, very fine depiction of the characters' environment and the cultural and legal battles of the early 90s in an Alaskan park. Tying in murders to these battles, with plenty of action and local color produces a story that is refreshing. The reader will want to read more stories about Kate and Jack. This is my first read of a Stabenow novel and I will read more of them.

Would you listen to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo again? Why?
I definitely would listen to the entire trilogy again. It was very well narrated, with outstanding voice characterization.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Lisbeth was my favorite, then Mikael.
Which character – as performed by Simon Vance – was your favorite?
All were very well done by Simon Vance. He provided appropriate expression to all of them. I would listen to another book read by Vance again.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
There is a trilogy of the film, filmed and produced in Sweden and very well done. Available on Amazon with English dubbing and subtitles, if you need them.
