Long...
Revisado: 03-20-25
As much as I enjoyed this entire series, I will say that this last book was just too long. I thought the final battle was never going to end. I reached a point that I just couldn't wait for it to be over. I found that from chapter 90 to the end I was not paying as much attention. But, overall I did love the whole series.

Nice read during Christmas! Fun short stories. Always like Justine's narration. Don't need fifteen words.

Boring
Revisado: 10-10-24
I usually really like Michael Connelly. But this one was so over detailed that it became super boring, and some details were even repeated. I don't need to know how to make a bomb or the wiring or ducking of a hotel. By chapter 19 something finally caught me and I just wanted to find out how it ended. That's the only reason I even finished listening.

A little dramatic
Revisado: 09-06-24
I love the basic story. but sometimes it is a little overly dramatic. I've had a few eye rolling moments while listening. But she does a good job of leaving you hanging at the end of each book so that you want to know what happens in the next one. So, I'm on to the next one.

the last chapter
Revisado: 08-24-24
Enjoyed the story, even though it was long, and probably could have done without the last chapter. It kind of drug out and had more details than was necessary. That's probably what made it long. And now it's a cliffhanger. Debating on whether or not to dive in to the next one, afraid that that might drag out also

Narration.. not good
Revisado: 02-25-24
Mia should stick to reading children's stories. I felt like Glenda the good witch or Strawberry Shortcake was reading me a ghost story by the campfire and she thought I was five years old. The only reason I finished it was because I wanted to know who done it, and even that wasn't very surprising. I probably won't be listening to any more of this series. Especially with this narrator.

So glad that Emily Durante isn't narrating the rest of the series. If she was I would not be reading the next. Her voice is better suited to children's books.

Couldn't wait to finish
Revisado: 11-04-23
Loved the story, but the narration was somewhere between a Disney princess and June Cleaver telling the story. This doesn't bode well for the sexy scenes. I really couldn't wait to finish and move on to the next. Unfortunately, if it is the same narrator, I won't be purchasing.

Not my favorite
Revisado: 10-28-23
Not my favorite of the Winston Brothers. The story time-line runs parallel to book 3, so some of it was kind of repetitive. I liked Chris' narration but didn't care for Angela's version of Shelly. Overall I enjoyed the series, but not sure if I'll keep going past book 4
