Historia
Nate Overbay, a former soldier suffering from PTSD and ALS, goes to an 11th-floor bank and climbs out the bathroom window onto the ledge, ready to end it all. But as he’s steeling himself to jump, a crew of gunmen bursts into the bank and begins viciously shooting employees and customers. With nothing to lose, Nate climbs back inside, confronts the robbers, and with his military training, starts taking them out, one by one. The last man standing leaves Nate with a cryptic warning: “He will make you pay in ways you can’t imagine.” Soon enough, Nate learns what this means.

Good, but not as good as "You're Next"
Revisado: 08-22-16
What made the experience of listening to Orphan X the most enjoyable?
The tension in the story
What was one of the most memorable moments of Orphan X?
The attention to "the kid."
Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
"You're Next" was better from a performance stand point but Scott is one of the best narrators in the business!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not laugh or cry but shiver with suspense.
Any additional comments?
An excellent book and an excellent story. While not quite as good as "You're Next" from a character standpoint, it was still an excellent book

I only listen while I ma driving but will admit that I drove out of the way to get through parts of it.

I liked this book
Revisado: 08-22-16
Would you listen to The Last Mile again? Why?
I would and I have.
What did you like best about this story?
The narrators.
What about Kyf Brewer and Orlagh Cassidy ’s performance did you like?
They have been on a couple of Baldacci books and they are exceptional.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I though the action moved consistently to keep you involved
Any additional comments?
I particularly like David Baldacci's books and his choice for narration. James Patterson could take a lesson from him, but then I don't think Patterson has an orignal thought these days.

This book was confusing
Revisado: 08-22-16
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Not buy it!
Would you recommend The Woods to your friends? Why or why not?
It is a confusing tale that is hard to keep up with.
What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?
Scott Brick was the only good thing about this book.
Could you see The Woods being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I hope not. That didn't work well for Lee Child.
Any additional comments?
I couldn't find anything else I liked at the time because my library was pretty full, so I took a chance on this book. Bad mistake. Some of you may be able to follow it better. I only listen when I am in the car driving so it gets a little dis-jointed.

Totally Boring
Revisado: 12-21-15
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I love Jonathan Kellerman books and I am disappointed that this one did not come close to hitting the mark.
What could Jonathan Kellerman and Jesse Kellerman have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Not Publish it.
Which scene was your favorite?
They all bored me to tears. In fact I was so confused and mis-directed that I almost doesed off while driving listening to this book.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
If there were any redeeming qualities, my mind wandered and I missed them.
Any additional comments?
Kellerman usually hits it out of the park but this one is a totally a foul ball. Don't let this book discourage you from listening to the exceptional catalog of Kellerman's Delaware novels.

Historia
On the right side of the law. Sort of. Sebastian Rudd is not your typical street lawyer. He works out of a customized bulletproof van, complete with Wi-Fi, a bar, a small fridge, fine leather chairs, a hidden gun compartment, and a heavily armed driver. He has no firm, no partners, no associates, and only one employee: his driver, who's also his bodyguard, law clerk, confidant, and golf caddy.

Anotrher hit fro Grisham
Revisado: 12-21-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Rogue Lawyer to be better than the print version?
I think the production value is good. So many times all of us are way too busy to sit down and read a book no matter how good it might be. Audio books allow us to become immersed in the story and the characters from almost where ever you are. I always listen while I am driving because it makes the trip or commute more exciting
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Grisham has a way for delivering intrigue and even unexpected mystery.
What does Mark Deakins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He is not my favorite Grisham narrator but he is okay and did a good job with this book.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
"For The Defense"
Any additional comments?
Unlike Patricia Cornwell and other favorites, Grisham is very thorough in his writing and doesn't pound out novel after novel without any real substance . Each novel is thoroughly researched and you end up having a kindred connection to the main player.

Another Astounding Book From James Lee Burke
Revisado: 12-21-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Light of the World to be better than the print version?
Absolutely,Will Patton makes the Burke characters come alive.
What other book might you compare Light of the World to and why?
Several of the Earlier books were similarly as good.
What does Will Patton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Yje best narrator in the business.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have if I could have but it is a lengthy book.
Any additional comments?
James Lee Burke's Characters and story lines keep getting better and better. I true master of the novel and totally unlike James Patterson who seems to deliver multiple books every year which he either writes or puts his name on to get published that are mostly total crap.

Historia
It's Dr. Kay Scarpetta's birthday, and she's about to head to Miami for a vacation with Benton Wesley, her FBI profiler husband, when she notices seven pennies on a wall behind their Cambridge house. Is this a kids' game? If so, why are all of the coins dated 1981 and so shiny they could be newly minted? Her cellphone rings, and Detective Pete Marino tells her there's been a homicide five minutes away. A high school music teacher has been shot with uncanny precision as he unloaded groceries from his car.

Revisado: 11-15-15
Where does Flesh and Blood rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
In The middle
If you’ve listened to books by Patricia Cornwell before, how does this one compare?
About 4 of 10 on a scale of 10
What does Lorelei King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
King does a great job. She saves this book
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No
Any additional comments?
Over the years Scarpetta has become an arrogant Bitch and I don't know why. The descriptions in this book are over the top and most of them are totally unnecessary- you start to get bored. The characters are morphing into totally unpleasant people and characters that are hard to associate with mentally. Scarpetta and her cast of friends are coming off pretty unstable and while they all had problems in earlier books you could somewhat understand personalities. Since they have all traveled all over the east coast doing God knows what in books that had little or no meaning, this one gives hope that the gang is going to get back together in one single destination. The problem with the descriptions of Scarpetta and other characters is they come off way too arrogant to interact with most common people. Tone it DOWN!

I am right now because it takes so long to download another book
Who was your favorite character and why?
They were all performed very well. No particular favorite
Which character – as performed by Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy – was your favorite?
The identical voices of characters from other Baldacci books. But I will give you this, I like the the actors who portray the characters
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I wouldn't make a film of this book- a made for TV movie maybe?
Any additional comments?
