Good story!

Historical fiction around colonial Puritans and the early stages of the witch trials in the late 1600s. The protagonist presents adolescents with the opportunity to relate to Kit’s bravery and independent spirit.
At times, the reader inflects voices and effects that don’t match the text, making it difficult to dramatize it and it can be distracting.
Overall, this is a good audio book. Stellar effort by Ms. Speare!

Difficult to finish

The narration is nice for me, being visually impaired. The affectations often didn’t match the sentiment being read. Emotional dialogue, descriptions, and interactions were worried and off course. Interesting this book lasted so long.
