The story itself is enthralling but the author shares too many details about herself

The beginning of the book is basically about the author, her kids, her wet hair from the shower, her items in her office. When she starts telling the actual story about the incident it gets better.

Great story but

Buy the book vs listening to the narrator.
The gal drops her voice to do the male voices and they all sound the same. She tries to make them sound sultry and it’s super weird. She also does a child’s voice which is just as aggravating. Very dramatic and breathy which is also annoying to have to listen to long term. It was a really hard listen but the book was so damn good I stuck with it.

This book is 1000 times better than the movie in the movie is already a masterpiece. I finished it in three days. It had me on the edge of my seat. The music was weird but whatever the story is so well written it doesn’t matter. And the narrator did a great job as Annie. People described her as flat but i don’t agree that it wasn’t fitting for the story setting. And her Annie outbursts are dead on

the book is very interesting but i found i liked lisbeth in the Swedish movies better. the narrator made her sound whiny/needy... actually the narrator made all of the women sound whiny and needy. he didnt do women well. the financial parts of the book were lost to me and tried to skip through it. towards the end of the book he is reading email correspondence and that absolutely drove me crazy. he kept reading the email addresses to completion over and over and over. not gonna but the rest of the series in the audiobook because the narrator drove me bananas

Jim Dale is an amazing narrator! this isnt one of my favorites but the narrator made it enjoyable. i love his passion and he does great voices. its like listening to 30 amazing characters speak

hard to listen to the performer

Amazing book but that narrator is hard to listen to. The voices she uses for Peeta and Haymitch are so irritating. There are times when Katniss is struggling through parts of the games and the narrator sounds constipated trying to convey the struggle-- i guess. I wish I’d bought a different version of this audio book. 10 hours of a girl trying to do boy/man voices and breathy straining. ugh.
