Historia
FBI Agent Gardner Camden is an analytical genius with an affinity for puzzles. He also has a blind spot on the human side of investigations, a blindness that sometimes even includes people in his own life, like his beloved seven-year-old daughter Camila. Gardner and his squad of brilliant yet quirky agents make up the Patterns and Recognition (PAR) unit, the FBI’s hidden edge, brought in for cases that no one else can solve. When DNA links a murder victim to a serial killer long presumed dead, the team springs into action.

Great story. Problems with a few regional pronunciations.
Revisado: 03-06-25
I loved this book. But I did get caught up in some regional pronunciations by the narrator…e.g. palmetto and Natchez.

Worse, every fact Nate uncovers confirms that his client started the tragic Mission Road fire.

This is the 8th book in the Nate Shepherd series. I have devoured all 8 and hope that Michael Stagg is working on the 9th!

Historia
Mi-ja and Young-sook, two girls living on the Korean island of Jeju, are best friends who come from very different backgrounds. When they are old enough, they begin working in the sea with their village’s all-female diving collective, led by Young-sook’s mother. As the girls take up their positions as baby divers, they know they are beginning a life of excitement and responsibility but also danger. This beautiful, thoughtful novel illuminates a world turned upside down, one where the women are in charge, engaging in dangerous, physical work, and the men take care of the children.

Strong women and heartbreak
Revisado: 02-03-23
This piece of historical fiction is filled with beauty and strong women and a glimpse of the history of Korea. I learned so much about the divers and the country. And above all, I enjoyed the awesome story of friendship, heartbreak, forgiveness and love.

Historia
Dueling Banjos: The Deliverance of Drew is a collection of stories of the making of the iconic movie, Deliverance, told from the perspective of one of the four main actors in the film, Ronny Cox, who played the character of Drew. Based on the novel by James Dickey, the movie was filmed in the summer of 1971 and was released the following year in 1972. Forty years later, it remains one of the most recognized films in movie history for being raw, emotional, violent and shocking - yet it leaves a lasting impression of artistic excellence.

STORIES THAT DELIVER
Revisado: 12-20-18
Ronny Cox breaks the making of the movie Deliverance down into a fantastic series of stories that transport the listener back to the 1971 adventures of the actors and the entire movie crew. This book will make you want to find the movie and watch it again through different lenses.
