Not sure why it has such good reviews. It’s ok at best. It’s basically a 13 ghosts ripoff. And not as good. Just didn’t seem to take the time to really character build or plot build. These 5.0 rating have to be fake. Cuz it’s not THAT good at all.

It’s ok enough

There’s a whole Lotta filler and not a lot of story building or character building. The characters that have been built just randomly die off and the most part of the book is pretty anticlimactic. The whole series in general is really anticlimactic. Something to listen to in the background and this is for you other than that it’s OK.

The “New England accent “

Whoever narrated this didn’t do their homework on American accents. The “New England accent“ sounds like a really crappy Texas accent. Not every American sounds like a cowboy, lol. Sorry was ok enough to pass the time. Didn’t really seem to take off story wise through all 3 books at all. Even the final battles kinda fell flat. Whole lot of build up to a disappointing conclusion. Is was ok enough to listen too. Would I recommend it? Probably not.

Scroll down past all the fake reviews, till you get to ones like this one this book is a rough listen. You have three of the most idiotic “dads” bumbling their way through a zombie apocalypse. Half the book is the dads just arguing with each other over dumb things that don’t advance the plot. Still hasn’t really said what caused the zombies. 3hrs in and they just barely left the house. It’s bad. Don’t waste your time/credits/money.

It’s like a high school virgin wrote it. Most generic book I think I’ve listened too. The author warned about how the book would be in the beginning. But jeez. It reads like a guy whole spent his whole life playing d&d fantasized about how he thinks life is. It’s rough. The narrator doesn’t help. Deep monotone voice adds for a rough listen.

Over all the series is decent. There are some continuity errors, typos and mispronunciations of some things. But over all I enjoyed.

It’s alright I guess. Not the worst or the best I’ve listened too. Characters are introduced, and are a good chunk of a book and then killed off. Like what’s the point of having them in the story if they bring literally nothing to the story but filler? Not really sure how old the main character is, tho the narrator sounds like maybe 50-60. But the character is in love with college girls? Really odd. The mention of a MOLLE vest, pronounced (mall-e) in the books, it’s pronounced mole like the Mexican sauce, is kind of a throw off. All you really need to know is the ogre, and the harpy. Not really sure why the author feels the need to interject that every chance he got like it’s a mantra or something.

story was ok at best. main female character was not really likable at all. not to mention all the "morning glories" used in the book instead of swear words. but what really sealed it for me was the narrator. voice doesn't match how the character comes across. 4 books in and nothing has really changed between the two leads. or the story for that matter. if you want something to listen to in the background while doing something else, it's worth a credit. I don't want to be to negative, but if I was able to get my credit back for it, I would.
