Historia
In a galaxy long ago but not so far away, three young friends—Billy, Emily, and Jody—are coming of age in the small, fading town of Schlitzboro on the gray, watery world of Balaeni. Humans colonized Balaeni centuries ago, but the vastlings—mysterious and enormous marine mammals—still call this world home. When Billy Blaster decides to join the Star Legion, he leaves behind Schlitzboro and steps into a world filled with responsibility and challenges that test not only his physical strength but his sense of purpose.

Surprisingly Philosophical.

Don’t let the genre label fool you—this isn’t just a sci-fi story, it’s a meditation on human connection, loss, and the passage of time. I found myself highlighting passages just to sit with them a little longer. Highly recommended for readers who love depth in their fiction.

Recognizing your own defense mechanisms
Revisado: 02-03-25
At certain points, it was tough to listen to because it highlights many unconscious habits that can harm others. I realized I have some detrimental behaviors I’d always thought were simply protective. Now I understand that moving beyond these patterns requires examining the roots of fear, instead of pretending they don’t exist. I believe this audiobook provides excellent insights for anyone seeking real change.
