Decent insight on Salesforce's development
Revisado: 05-02-25
This book does have some cool behind-the-scenes stories about Salesforce’s early days and how Marc Benioff challenged traditional enterprise software thinking. There are definitely useful nuggets on company culture, marketing, and innovation. The tone can feel a little bit self-congratulatory. Read if you're curious about Salesforce or tech startups, but it didn't exactly keep me on the edge of my seat (not that this is that kind of book anyway).

This book totally gets how hard it is to rebuild trust after addiction. Janice Johnson Dowd shares her own story, which makes everything feel real and relatable. The advice is super practical. Things like how to talk to your loved ones again, set boundaries, and not beat yourself up in the process. If you’re in recovery or close to someone who is, this is definitely worth reading.

Still, they persevere, and their relationship comes to represent goodness in a world of utter devastation.

Good book, enjoyed the story, it’s bleak but that is the point of the book.
