Op 17 Desember spoel die lyk van Ernst Richter oop in die duine anderkant Parklands - dié Ernst Richter, berugte internet-entrepreneur, baas van die omstrede webwerf Alibi.co.za wat 'n maand gelede so onverklaarbaar en sensasioneel verdwyn het. Selfs in normale omstandighede sou die Valke Bennie Griessel en Vaughn Cupido gesukkel het - by Alibi.co.za lieg almal soos tannetrekkers. Maar omstandighede is nie normaal nie. Want Griessel het weer aan die suip gegaan.

Bennie uit 'n ander oogpunt

Ek het hierdie storie geniet, maar anders as die ander Bennie-boeke, het ek hierdie keer dit geniet om uit ander mense se oogpunt die storie te hoor. Ek kon verstaan wat in die ander karakters se koppe aangaan, en nie net Bennie se idees nie. Ek het ook die boek ervaar as 'n baie rustiger storie teenoor die vorige boeke waar ek nie kon wag om te hoor wat volgende gaan gebeur nie.
Nic de Jager was weereens 'n wenner, baie goeie voorlesing.

A great ending to the trilogy

This was excellent, "lighter" than the previous books! This book close the circle, and although there was still loose ends, the story worked for me.

Surprises to the end
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Stranger House?
I enjoyed the last part, where they named that little baby! I waited for Reginald Hill to come up with a surprise.
What does Gordon Griffin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Gordon Griffen gave each character its own personality with the use of his voice
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I listen to the books in my car on my way to work and home, 2 hours a day
Any additional comments?
A good story, not however The Woodcutter was probably his best.
