Historia
It was long ago, but not as long as it seems: The Berlin Wall fell and the Twin Towers collapsed. In between, one presidential election was allegedly decided by Ross Perot while another was plausibly decided by Ralph Nader. Landlines fell to cell phones, the internet exploded, and pop culture accelerated without the aid of technology that remembered everything. It was the last era with a real mainstream to either identify with or oppose. The ’90s brought about a revolution in the human condition, and a shift in consciousness, that we’re still struggling to understand.

don't get your hopes up
Revisado: 12-02-23
The blurb isnt a good representation of what youre getting. There is a strong lack of direction in the book. overemphasis on unimportant information, not enough of a clear vision. there is certainly things in this book you have forgotten about the 90s but there is no real metanarrative or cultural analysis.

Humanitarian Must Read
Revisado: 02-20-23
It is a must read for anyone who is studying sociology or humanitarian issues. Read and discuss with friends. A very sad reality that very few know of. I hope this book makes a change. Excellent investigative work at the expense of great risk

Historia
Are you tired of feeling f*cked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unf--ked version of yourself. "Wake up to the miracle you are," he directs. "Here's what you've forgotten: You're a f--king miracle of being." It isn't other people that are standing in your way; it isn't even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive. It's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

A reminder, not enlightenment
Revisado: 12-20-17
The information presented in this book is by no means new or revolutionary. However, it is compiled in an excellent way. You may not learn something new or may learn only a few things but since so much helpful information comes in consistent proximity it is an extremely helpful book. I will definitely re-listen. It is a very good pick me up and motivator. Your mind won’t stumble upon such encouragement by its own. This book is a good way to be fed those high level encouragements you have discovered, but this time it’s at will.

Does God belong in the public arena, or is religion solely a private matter? Nancy Pearcey makes a passionate case that Christianity is not just religious truth, but truth about all reality. It is total truth.

A holistic apologetic
Revisado: 04-24-17
This book is full. It deals with Christian spirituality, epistemology, apologetic discourse, testimony, history. It really is full of great material. Nancy writes in the line of a Reformed apologetic perspective while discussing a range of different topics. She interacts with many different streams of thought. The reader also does a very good job, not boring or monotone. My one objection is the way the chapters are broken up. The audio was not compiled well, however you can find break periods every 15-20 minutes.

Masterful treatment of a systematic theology
Revisado: 04-03-17
Each section is divided into its own chapter, which makes easy stop and go points. Unlike the audible version of calvin's institutes you can follow along easily and stop just about whenever you want. The theology is solid and practical. The reading is standard audible reading that can get boring but the material is excellent.
