Historia
Now in a third edition, Robert M. Sapolsky's acclaimed and successful Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers features new chapters on how stress affects sleep and addiction, as well as new insights into anxiety and personality disorder and the impact of spirituality on managing stress. As Sapolsky explains, most of us do not lie awake at night worrying about whether we have leprosy or malaria. Instead, the diseases we fear-and the ones that plague us now-are illnesses brought on by the slow accumulation of damage, such as heart disease and cancer.

Historia
This is a book about discovering the secret to all the things we most desire: contentment, meaning, peace of mind, and true freedom. This skillfully edited translation of selections from the writings of Meister Eckhart (c. 1260-1328) provides a road map to the spiritual life for contemporary seekers. Eckhart takes us on a journey of discovery, a journey in which we learn to let go, relinquish our need to know everything, and lose those things that we think are important for a life of worth. And in the end he shows us that the true secret is: to find yourself, you must lose yourself.

A horribly good book
Revisado: 12-22-24
The book is a good road map for making your own systems for dealing with egos. Yet it is all relative to the actor, situation and conversational influences.
Look, you don’t need a book to teach you how to pretend to be a better you but this but has an underlying wise tone. If you heed this you will find this book to be useful, otherwise beware of the traps.

The auction process visualised
Revisado: 10-24-24
Not for the faint of heart. If you love the markets and would like to delve much deeper into its infrastructure & how to visualise it I would highly recommend this book.
A great book that a lot of people seem to overlook. It explains the market through the process of an auction and it shows how to read such action in a TPO. The book shows how supply and it’s demand are the primary motivators of price in a market and thus explains its behaviour through market profile.
Enjoy and may you learn and enjoy this book as much as I have.

Historia
Gerald G. May, MD, one of the great spiritual teachers and writers of our time, argues that the dark "shadow" side of the true spiritual life has been trivialized and neglected to our serious detriment. Superficial and naively upbeat spirituality does not heal and enrich the soul. Nor does the other tendency to relegate deep spiritual growth to only mystics and saints. Only the honest, sometimes difficult encounters with what Christian spirituality has called and described in helpful detail as "the dark night of the soul" can lead to true spiritual wholeness.

Ideas are images and images distort(separate). This book is full of mostly Christian imagery which attempts to talk about the unspeakable. Its ultimately talking nonsense. Yet nonsense is the only way to talk about no-thing which can’t be known much less expressed.
For more of a whole perspective on the topic i would recommend to also delve into Jiddu Krishnamurti’s work as well as Allan Watts’ to get a more complete understanding into the poetry of the ineffable.

Historia
In 1971, President Nixon imposed national price controls and took the United States off the gold standard, an extreme measure intended to end an ongoing currency war that had destroyed faith in the U.S. dollar. Today we are engaged in a new currency war, and this time the consequences will be far worse than those that confronted Nixon. Currency wars are one of the most destructive and feared outcomes in international economics.

Revisado: 08-15-24
If you want to delve into the history of the world and it’s financial dynamics you might really like this book. To sum it up, countries have different reasons as to why they change monetary policies but they all are intertwined through trade. To keep a balance in their economy most inevitably engage in currency wars that destabilises other economies and stabilises theirs. Thus the cycle repeats in much worse and bigger scales.

Is thought detrimental? 15 August 1965. Duration: 63 minutes. Why does one seek pleasure? Can the mind face only facts and not thought? Why have I never said, 'Thought is poison' to myself? Meeting something one doesn't know, facing something which has no answer. Acting without knowing. What is a state of mind which is silent? Time is detrimental. Are we twisting everything to our core of pleasure?
