Historia
Celeste Price is an eighth-grade English teacher in suburban Tampa. But Celeste's devotion lies elsewhere. She has a singular sexual obsession: 14-year-old boys. In slaking her sexual thirst, Celeste Price is remorseless and deviously free of hesitation, a monstress driven by pure motivation. She deceives everyone, and cares nothing for anyone or anything but her own pleasure. With crackling, rampantly unadulterated prose, Tampa is a grand, uncompromising, seriocomic examination of want and a scorching literary debut.

could have been better
Revisado: 05-01-25
I was hoping before reading this book that I would get some sort of backstory or explaining the reason why she had this fetish. There was nothing. That really disappointed me and my overall rating of the book. That and the main character is a vile woman.

So glad I tried this
Revisado: 04-16-24
I got this series on sale for super cheap. This is a 50+ hr series and I figured this would be a good listen while I walked my dog daily. This genre is aimed for teens but as a 30+ year old I really enjoyed this! I am so glad I got this. One of the best adventure books I have read. The only bad thing I would say is the story is a little predictable & I feel the ending was a bit rushed. But still I highly recommend this book for everyone.

Kind of weird
Revisado: 12-05-23
This book has an ending I did not expect at all. But it's weird and unrealistic. Still a nice thriller to pass the time. I would not recommend this book to recent mothers or pregnant women as I feel it could be upsetting.

Historia
As a third daughter on the farming colony of Meterion, Susan’s future prospects aren’t too promising. A pretty face, top-notch skills, and hard work mean nothing if your dowry doesn’t include fertile lands. With her 25th birthday approaching, and no suitors, her only way out is to settle for an arranged marriage through the PMA - the Prime Mating Agency. She just never expected to be paired with a grumpy, massive lizardman, and above all not to grow so fond of his scales and quirky ways.

the title lured me in
Revisado: 12-29-22
I cannot lie when I saw this title I thought it was so ridiculous. But I wanted to give it a try. I'm glad I did. The wedding ceremony was so detailed and the way the author described the world made it seem like a real place. The narrator was also amazing! I really wished this book was longer. I really enjoyed this book and I want more!

Historia
My sophomore year changed everything. I dropped 40 pounds after a stint in fat camp. Prior to losing weight, most of my time was spent comparing myself to my twin sister and trying to hide my cankles. But losing weight made all things seem possible. Now I'm popular, vying for the hottest guy in school and competing for a prom queen nomination. Finally, I'm getting noticed, and it's all because I dropped the pounds.

More than a number
Revisado: 12-08-22
During the end of the book I was a little disappointed that there was not a deeper reason for the eating disorder. I thought it would end up describing a hidden trauma but there was nothing. And I wish it would have described more of her recovery process, as it would just have a time skip at the end. The MC annoyed me. As she was always talking about being "popular" and wanting to get with her crush. The side characters like Jake and Kelly were a lot more interesting.

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

This will make you cry
Revisado: 07-18-22
I never cry in movies or books unless it is absolutely gut wrenching. If you're like me with a cold heart and never cries, this book WILL make you cry. Not even a maybe, you will cry! I actually listened to this book a year ago and I still think about it from time to time. Its that good.

Narrator was perfect
Revisado: 11-05-20
This is a lot better than the movie. But the narrator was just as good as the story. I loved Vikas Adam's voice it perfectly fit the character and his sarcastic remarks. He is the perfect narrator for this book. I cannot imagine anyone else!

This book made me cry
Revisado: 10-16-20
This book started off slow and some of the characters made me angry with their stupidity, but the story got much better and it definitely delivered! There is one line though from one of the main characters saying something like why cant the homeless people come to Alaska??! and I just thought it was a really stupid line and the author could have left that out to be honest. I found it really silly for them to have put that in the book. But otherwise this is a great book it really gets better with every chapter!

Not for me
Revisado: 09-11-20
I'm more than halfway done with this book and I cannot listen to the main character anymore. He makes me so angry. He left his autistic brother alone at a hotel and did this so he can get information to get an inheritance?? He just sounds like he's doing everything for the money and will do anything to get it, even putting his loved ones in danger... really? What a greedy main character... I can't find enjoyment listening to this character’s point of view.
