Historia
Senator Mike Lee tells the dramatic, little-known stories behind six of the Constitution's most indispensable provisions. He shows their rise. He shows their fall. And he makes vividly clear how nearly every abuse of federal power today is rooted in neglect of this Lost Constitution.

Excellent information about our constitution and its history
Revisado: 02-16-25
I liked the stories about how the constitution has held our country together. Mike Lee provided education about the law as well as those who tried to beat the law. I am terribly disappointed that Mike Lee, as of 2025, has turned his back on the Constitution of the United States. Since Lee now supports only the executive and judicial branches of the federal government, he has eliminated himself as well as the legislative branch of the government.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

This was a painfully beautiful story
Revisado: 09-26-22
I wanted to read this book since the moment I saw the author interviewed about her story. This book meant a great deal to me since I too was taught to put my abusive mother on a pedestal. I was relieved when she died, even though some others don't understand. When someone hurts you, you don't need to feel sad about their demise. The source of the pain is gone. This was a painfully beautiful story about love, pain, sickness and healing.

Sad but compelling
Revisado: 06-05-22
I enjoyed the narration and the sad, moving story of grief and regret. I saw the writing on the wall over halfway through the story, but the ending was still bittersweet.

In this dramatic and fascinating account, Newsweek columnist Jonathan Alter shows how Franklin Delano Roosevelt used his first 100 days in office to lift the country from the despair and paralysis of the Great Depression and transform the American presidency.

Very infomative, and also refreshingly honest

Well written and engaging.
Revisado: 04-25-22
I read this book when it was first published, so when I saw it on Audible, I had to listen to it. Rather than only focusing attention on FDR's strengths, this book also focuses on his failures as well as his insecurities. This book shows how an imperfect man can change and lift up a nation during unprecedented hardships for the old and young alike.
