Historia
To truly grasp Bible prophecy, we must first understand how God’s promises to Israel complement his vision for the church. While some believe God has forsaken Israel for the church, this goes against the nature of the faithful Lord we find in Scripture. In his latest book, native Israeli and best-selling author Amir Tsarfati makes clear what the Bible says about God’s unique master plans for his two chosen groups, Israel and the church.

God has not Forgotten
Revisado: 08-30-24
Amir presents a very Biblical and sound argument for why God has not forgotten or abandoned the Jewish people, but also has a purpose for the Church. I do not agree with everything he has to say on his stance on aspects of the Book of Revelation, but everything else is good and rightly interpreted from Scripture.

Humble Heroism
Revisado: 08-30-24
This is a Civil War account like no other. Elisha Hunt Rhodes was a truly remarkable man, remaining humble, poised, and ready to do anything to preserve the United States and Union in his day. From beginning the war as a Private, and by the end being at the rank of Lt. Colonel is astounding. Being at every major battle the Army of the Potomac fought in, and seeing many famous figures in his day in person, such as Lincoln, McClellan, Burnside, Meade, Grant, and even Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson from a distance. A must read for any Civil War buff or historian. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a very good book about the early days of the Russian-Ukrainian War 2022-2024 currently at time of review. It gives excellent background on Zelenskyy, Putin, Russia 🇷🇺, Ukraine 🇺🇦, and important speeches made leading through 2022 pertaining to the war. The narrator was excellent, along with the author presenting facts and opinions. There is more to be written though…

They were the final survivors of the millions who made up the American Expeditionary Forces, nineteenth-century men and women living in the twenty-first century. Self-reliant, humble, and stoic, they kept their stories to themselves for a lifetime, then shared them at the last possible moment so that they, and the war they won - the trauma that created our modern world - might at last be remembered. You will never forget them.

Quest and Questions
Revisado: 07-01-24
The author did a great job of trying to unravel one of the great mysteries of the 20th century. He looked at the facts and ventured to the Amazon himself to uncover all available clues. Regardless of Fawcett’s ultimate fate, his journey and life invite others into discovery and adventure. The author did a great job capturing all of these elements. I highly recommend this work!

Historia
In 1848, a year of international democratic revolt, a young, enslaved couple, Ellen and William Craft, achieved one of the boldest feats of self-emancipation in American history. Posing as master and slave, while sustained by their love as husband and wife, they made their escape together across more than 1,000 miles, riding out in the open on steamboats, carriages, and trains that took them from bondage in Georgia to the free states of the North.

Compelling Lives and Journey
Revisado: 07-01-24
This is an excellent account of a heroic couple that escapes slavery in a very surprising way. The author did an excellent job of containing fact, but also making the story engaging and interesting. The narrators also did a good job. I liked that it switched between both a male and female, almost like the Crafts were the ones narrating themselves. Excellent work on the Antebellum South and anti slavery!

Historia
The Great War of 1914-1918 burst on the European scene with a brutality to mankind not yet witnessed by the civilized world. Modern warfare was no longer the stuff of chivalry and honor; it was a mutilative, deadly, and humbling exercise to wipe out the very presence of humanity. Suddenly, thousands upon thousands of maimed, beaten, and bleeding men surged into aid stations and hospitals with injuries unimaginable in their scope and destruction. Doctors scrambled to find some way to salvage not only life but limb.

Worship is central to our relationship with God. Yet worship in today's churches is influenced more by the stage performances and trappings of secular concerts, and less on what God himself show us in the Bible. Knowing the importance and power of true worship, A. W. Tozer preached on the topic regularly throughout his life. Authentic Worship presents his thoughts on what it really means to praise and honor the Lord.

Historia
Known as “Hitler's Filmmaker,” Leni Riefenstahl directed two of the most innovative and effective propaganda documentaries ever made, Triumph of the Will (1935) and Olympia (1938), which glorified the Third Reich. In this definitive biography, Steven Bach illuminates the truths and lies regarding the self-proclaimed apolitical artist's involvement with Hitler and other Nazi leaders who financed and advanced her career. Probing the borders that divide art and beauty from truth and humanity, Bach untangles the past and gives an objective but unsparing appraisal.

First Lady of the Third Reich
Revisado: 05-03-24
This was a very honest and informative account about the self-absorbed life of Leni. Even though she made many advancements in the early years of the filming industry, unfortunately she did many underneath one of the most evil governments in history and had more similarities with Hitler than she would have admitted. This work helps readers see through many of her contradictions and how film/art can be just as guilty of genocide as those who pull the trigger. Leni sold herself to the altar of pride, vanity, and success at any cost, and paid dearly for it. Great work on learning about her life!

"The central miracle asserted by Christians is the Incarnation. They say that God became Man. Every other miracle prepares the way for this, or results from this." This is the key statement of Miracles, in which C. S. Lewis shows that a Christian must not only accept but rejoice in miracles as a testimony of the unique personal involvement of God in his creation.

C.S. Lewis brought a great factual and logical argument for the existence of miracles, and showing the Biblical miracles as consistent with God’s character, dividing them into Old and New miracles. The last 3 chapters were my personal favorite. Great work!
