This is the sequel to Sleepy Hollow, taking place in Philadelphia, Ichabod and Katrina have escaped Sleepy Hollow for Philadelphia, following the death of Brom Bones. Katrina is haunted by visions of the headless horseman, who calls out to her. The author had me hooked from start to finish, same as she did with the first novel. I enjoyed the sequels ghostly atmosphere. This series would make a good movie adaptation.

Tom Clancy knocks it out of the park again with Executive Orders, the sequel Debt Of Honor. Jack Ryan is in his first term as POTUS and there are many plots moving forward, but the plot that stood out the most to me was the Ebola plot. The United States goes into lockdown by Executive Orders by POTUS Jack Ryan. Listening to this reminded me of COVID. Clancy excellently weaves different plots together in an intriguing way that always grabs my attention. Recommended.

Introducing Mr. Midshipman Hornblower

I really like how C.S. Forester set up his characters and plot. The novella is made up of about four stories. Each story somewhat stand on their own while somewhat connecting the events of the stories together into a cohesive narrative. Thinking back to the adaptation by A&E, I thought Iwon Gruddiff, I think I spelled that right, from the film, Amazing Grace, did a excellent job playing the roll of Hornblower.

If you haven't investigated this series yet but are familiar with the A&E adaptation, I recommend you get this novella from your library.
