Loved this original story. Nix is a master at short stories and novellas, creating such vivid settings in a short amount of time. The narrator has a deep voice that is perfect for the movie studio exec who has some very interesting life experience!

This was really fun! The narrator did a fantastic job. For some reason I was picturing Jude Law as Moriarty.

Nothing was what I thought, and the narrator did a fantastic job. I was on the edge of my seat especially towards the end.

What the heck, one of the stories in the book was actually left out of the audio?!? It says 10 romantic tropes transformed, and there were only 9 stories on the audio. I saw another review of the physical book that mentioned a story that wasn’t in the audio production, which is really dumb.

The narrators all did a great job; I liked that there was a full cast. Some of the stories were great, and some weren’t, which I find is always the case with anthologies. I loved In the Blink of an Eye, The Surprise Match, and Liberty. All the others were just okay to me, but overall I gave the anthology four stars because the stories did in fact, transform at least most of the tropes in really fun ways.

If you love shifter romances and alpha males, then you definitely need to read this series. This book focuses on Sedona, the daughter of an alpha, and Carlos, the young alpha of his stuck-in-past-traditions pack. Carlos's pack council has Sedona kidnapped to be his mate, but he had no idea until he was locked in a cell with her. Sparks fly, and their chemistry is off the charts, but Carlos refuses to keep Sedona against her will. He lets her go, but can't stay away because of the fierce need to protect her. The only thing that bothered me was Carlos's inability for a majority of the book to see the council's true evil, even though he is supposed to be really intelligent.

A side note, is that while each book focuses on a different couple, some storylines carry over. I felt like I was missing something with Sedona's brother and his mate, Amber, and it turns out the previous book in the series is about them, so I WAS missing something. I would suggest reading these in order if you don't like couple spoilers.

The narrator did a great job. Even though it was a male voice for the entire story (both Carlos and Sedona’s points of view), Sedona’s parts didn’t sound annoying or off-putting, like when some men attempt to do a female voice.
