A very Eye-Opening Book
Revisado: 07-08-23
This book really taught me a lot about Buddhism. I really appreciate the insight. It was thrilling to trace the Holy Spirit’s work in Denzin’s life as he searched for the truth. A good reminder that there are still people in our world who are seeking to find the truth.

What a treasure this ancient account is! My heart filled with joy at Marcellus’s conversion. May we as American Christians face threat of persecution with the same unwavering steadfastness to our Savior!

Historia
In Captive in Iran, Maryam and Marziyeh recount their 259 days in Evin. It’s an amazing story of unyielding faith - when denying God would have meant freedom. Of incredible support from strangers around the world who fought for the women’s release. And of bringing God’s light into one of the world’s darkest places - giving hope to those who had lost everything, and showing love to those in despair.

This book was very riveting. Hard to pause between listening sessions. Mr. Lane’s narration-Fabulous!
I only wish that Tinne and Hertza Klineman would have survived to reunite with their loved ones.
I personally don’t believe in Luck; God was watching over this family from beginning to end.
If only all of them could have realized this and fully known His love for them.

Historia
A Chance to Die is a vibrant portrayal of Amy Carmichael, an Irish missionary and writer who spent 53 years in South India without furlough. There she became known as "Amma", or "mother", as she founded the Dohnavur Fellowship, a refuge for underprivileged children. Amy's life of obedience and courage stands as a model for all who claim the name of Christ. Bringing Amma to life in a compelling biographical narrative, Elisabeth Elliot urges listeners to examine the depths of their own commitment to Christ.

Revisado: 05-21-23
This powerful testimony is so needed in our world today. Sticking with someone in their inner struggle to embrace Jesus as Savior is so important. I very much appreciate the point made that there are different ways to approach sharing Christ with Muslims: love, boldness, and above all, good friendship. Great read!
