Must read
Revisado: 06-26-15
I never write reviews but I feel I have to after listening to this audio book. We are used to soldiers' stories, their loss, pain and emotional trauma. We rarely hear, read or imagine what it is like from a medical perspective on the front lines. Everyone should have to read this story especially our Congressional representatives and president. I could only listen to this book for short periods of time and not at all at night or I was unable to sleep. I don't know what the answer to conflict is but I do know we need to do better. I also think we continue as Americans to have GREAT GENERATIONS and true heroes.

Historia
In a wealthy Minneapolis neighborhood, two elderly women are bludgeoned to death. They are apparent victims of a random robbery, though nothing of value appears to have been stolen. But when Lucas Davenport looks deeper, he fears that the victims weren’t so random, and the items stolen were far from invaluable. As a pattern emerges it leads Lucas to...certainly not where he expected. Which is too bad, because the killers are expecting him. And that’s only the first surprise.

As always another great prey book. I was afraid I was not going to see another new Lucas Davenport thriller. Great plot, believeable and yet tricky.

Say the name 'Enron' and most people believe they've heard all about the story that imperiled a presidency, destroyed a marketplace, and changed Washington and Wall Street forever. But in the hands of Kurt Eichenwald, the players we think we know and the business practices we think have been exposed are transformed into entirely new, and entirely gripping, material.

Who would have thought anyone could turn this business nightmare into a readable, can't wait to hear more type of story. Good read. Greed and avarice do incredible things to people. I certainly hope a lesson is learned.

Disappointing
Revisado: 07-15-06
Not a bad story but not great. From the beginning I waited for the author to tie the plot into an understandable package. In the end he figured the same thing I did from the first chapter. Why would anyone care after 40+ years. I kept listening hoping for a twist which would make me understand why the whole thing was even being pursued and was very disappointed to find that even the author couldn't come up with a plausible answer for caring.

Not bad but not as good as the prey series. I found Winters role a bit unbelievable. I would not rush to listen to the next Winter series.

When Leon Walker calls the husband-and-wife legal team of Mike Daley and Rosie Fernandez, this is not good news. Walker was the man who ruined their marriage years ago. When Mike defended Walker against murder charges arising out of a stickup-gone-bad, Rosie fought about it with Mike so much that it drove a wedge between them. Now, Walker has returned, and he's got a new murder pinned to his back.

Good listen from start to end. The narrator is great and the plot keeps moving. I also wish his other books were not abridged. Would definetely recommend this book to others.
