Historia
Drawing on a wealth of psychological research, Alfie Kohn points the way to a more successful strategy based on working with people instead of doing things to them. "Do rewards motivate people?" asks Kohn. "Yes. They motivate people to get rewards." Seasoned with humor and familiar examples, Punished by Rewards presents an argument unsettling to hear but impossible to dismiss.

Waste of time.
Revisado: 04-18-21
The whole books discusses why rewards either don’t work or are somehow immoral with no effort to give any good alternatives. A useless experiment given it is the best we have and the author doesn’t give us a valid option except those that clearly be much worse. The book drips distain at what doesn’t work as well as believed but with no attempt to do the hard work. No wonder he refers frequently to his critics. Save your money and your time.

Historia
Many of the most successful Web 2.0 companies, including MySpace, YouTube, eBay, and rising stars like Twitter and Flickr, are prime examples of what journalist Adam L. Penenberg calls a "viral loop" - to use the product means having to share it with others. After all, what's the sense of being on Facebook if none of your friends are? The end result is a business that spreads rapidly, scales quickly, and has the promise to create staggering wealth.

Just can't listen to this narration.

Could be the best book in the world. Impossible to listen to. Did the author even listen to the quality?
