This had a great set up for a very fun story , and parts of it were. But I didn’t love how Ella just basically cried through the whole book. It made her appear weak and immature. Which didn’t work with her selfless act of taking on care of baby Lee. That whole thing needed to be reworked. Her visions or dreams were a little much for me, and at first I didn’t have any idea what was going on……..that could have been written better also.
I did love the characters and the time frame. I wish someone would rewrite this.

The title is so fun

This book had so much possibility! But the writing was so flat and redundant. It lacked luster and intrigue . The narrator tried hard, but did not knock it out of the park . This was not my favorite, and I really wanted it to be .

Hard to follow but they do build on each other

Slow but clean and wholesome

This was not my favorite Amish story.
It was a little slow going, but it was clean and wholesome. If you enjoy Amish Culture, this will be a good choice

This book had great possibilities…….

I loved the mystery, and the writing was well done . However I did not like that 3/4 the way through the sex scene got way too detailed and I had to turn it off…. It was frustrating , because I could not return it since it was so far into the book . I am surprised none of the other reviews thought to mention this. I did not enjoy the narration like so many people did in other reviews . It sounded like an old stuffy lady reading the entire time . Which I felt did not do justice to the story . This book had great possibilities but but did not meet up with greatness . You can find better .

If your a fan of Marissa Meyer . Skip this one! This is NOT up to her usual standard. If your 12 and Into conservation, go for it.
I’m so disappointed and I feel like I COMPLETELY wasted my money .

Needed More of everything!

This really had possibilities-
But the story just didn’t take off and go any where . The romance was lacking. The adventure was dull . I wanted to like this book. The premise was a great idea. But it kind of felt like a rough draft, it needed to be developed more.

I wanted to love this.........

I think this series had great possibilities, but this second book was so boring and so predictable I really had a hard time finishing it. I wasn’t even captivated to listen to the free excerpt at the end. Something interesting really needed to happen, and it never did. Save your money, and go for Delirium or some other dystopian novel. But this novel feels like the author had to meet a deadline and she was fresh out of inspiration and ideas.

So Disappointed!

This book had so many possibilities!! But I think the Author was trying to finish this book up in a hurry and keep the door open for the next book. Her definition of living peacefully is completely ridiculous!!! And I can’t find a definition of peace in any dictionary coming any where near what she described it to be!!! Clearly she backed herself into a corner and tried to get out, by redefining the word! I will not be reading her next book. And from the reviews I’ve read of the next book, the Author continues On with this , insulting her readers , by assuming we are not smart enough to know what works and what doesn’t. Even in a fantasy world! I am disappointed! I have enjoyed other books she has written. But this one was not worth my money or my time.
