Historia
The number one New York Times best-selling story about American Olympic triumph in Nazi Germany, the inspiration for the PBS documentary The Boys of '36, broadcast to coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 80th anniversary of the boys' gold medal race. Out of the depths of the Depression comes an irresistible story about beating the odds and finding hope in the most desperate of times - the improbable, intimate account of how nine working-class boys from the American West showed the world at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin what true grit really meant.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

touching and sincere
Revisado: 04-30-23
I never followed his life in the tabloids, thankfully. This book is so sincere and emotionally open that I enjoyed it thoroughly. You could tell it was cathartic for him to finally get a say in what ppl think of him based on a narrative. I'm sure any negative reviews only come from ppl would won't even display their real names or have something to gain from his destruction. I hope he gets the opportunity to live the rest of his life surrounded by well wishers and that ppl just leave him and his family alone.

Historia
The most popular and beloved American historical novel ever written, Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind is unparalleled in its portrayal of men and women at once larger than life but as real as ourselves. Now best-selling writer Alexandra Ripley brings us back to Tara and reintroduces us to the characters we remember so well: Rhett, Ashley, Mammy, Suellen, Aunt Pittypat, and, of course, Scarlett.

Narrator was amazing story was passable
Revisado: 01-01-23
I don't think anyone could continue seamlessly to tell a story like gone with the wind... but it was good at some points... not believable in others... a page turner in some parts and hard to get through in others... overall ups and downs but if you are desperate to continue with the story I suppose it's worth the read.

Inspirational story!
Revisado: 08-29-21
The great part about this book is that it walks you through her athletic career so well that you feel like you lived her ups and downs. That makes listening to her achievements so much more satisfying. This is a very inspiring story and I enjoyed it fully!

much more mature perspective
Revisado: 09-11-20
Even though this book came out years after the originals, I think the timing was great. The perspective matured with the original readers. Edward's mind was satisfyingly dark, mature and devoted. Loved the book!

Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.
