Odd Thomas is my first Koontz experience. It will not be my last. His pacing, characterization, and suspense are remarkable. I couldn't find sufficient time to complete the story in one sitting, but I tried.

Julie Harmon is a strong protagonist. Her story is not one you read or listen to, you live it with her. You experience her pain, grief, determination and dispare.
It's been a long time since a story moved me as this one did. I would love to see it adapted into a screenplay.
