Historia
Discover the definitive history of DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency, in this Pulitzer Prize finalist from the author of the New York Times best seller Area 51. No one has ever written the history of the Defense Department's most secret, most powerful, and most controversial military science R&D agency. In the first-ever history about the organization, New York Times best-selling author Annie Jacobsen draws on inside sources, exclusive interviews, private documents, and declassified memos to paint a picture of DARPA, or "the Pentagon's brain".

Excellent book. Well researched and presented in the same manner as Operation Paperclip. I would highly recommend reading it.

Historia
Since its U.S. debut a quarter-century ago, this brilliant text has set a new standard for historical scholarship of Latin America. It is also an outstanding political economy, a social and cultural narrative of the highest quality, and perhaps the finest description of primitive capital accumulation since Marx. Rather than chronology, geography, or political successions, Eduardo Galeano has organized the various facets of Latin American history according to the patterns of five centuries of exploitation.

The Same Abuse Over and Over
Revisado: 08-15-19
This was an excellent book, and extremely informative. I can see why Hugo Chavez presented it to President Barack Obama Unfortunately, the abuse and exploitation which has taken place in South America continues today. I see no difference between the European looting of the African continent, (King Leopold III and Cecil Rhodes) and what is happening in South America. The U.S. has a problem with China's involvement in Africa as well as Venezuela, but from what I've read China is having a positive effect in both places. And with what China has been able to achieve in such a short time, I believe their economy will surpass the United States.

Historia
The American people depend on a free press to keep a close and impartial watch on the national security operations that are carried out in our name. But in many cases, this trust is sadly misplaced, as leading journalists are seduced and manipulated by the secretive agencies they cover. While the press remains silent about its corrupting relationship with the intelligence community - a relationship that dates back to the Cold War - Spooking the News will blow the lid off this unseemly arrangement.

The sad uninformed public
Revisado: 03-24-19
The book was very informative. However, I was not surprised in the least as I had read other books which only confirm what is written here. In my opinion, ever since the conclusion of WWII and the influence of Germany's Nazi Propaganda Minister, Joseph Goebbels this type of misinformation has been feed to the public, and It will never end.

Historia
Nabeel Qureshi describes his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity, complete with friendships, investigations, and supernatural dreams along the way. Providing an intimate window into a loving Muslim home, Qureshi shares how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost against his will, evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. Unable to deny the arguments but not wanting to deny his family, Qureshi's inner turmoil will challenge Christians and Muslims alike.

An Exellent Book ..and Highly Recommended Read
Revisado: 07-06-15
Where does Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book ranks at the top of all the audio books in my library ...and I have about 50 books.
What other book might you compare Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus to and why?
The closest book in my Library I would compare it to would be Mere Christianity, by C.S. Lewis. However, Mr. Lewis' book is much longer, but the detailed presentation is similar. This book has increased my interest on the subject of Islam enough that I will look for additional books on the subject.
Have you listened to any of Nabeel Qureshi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Nabeel presents the information in a most interesting manner. Having been raised as a Muslim he has detailed insight and knowledge of the tradition and practices of Islam. In particular I enjoyed his determined research for truth and solid facts.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I found nothing at all wrong with the narrator's performance, I felt his pain, concerns of his heart, and gladness, in fact, he left me wanting to hear more. I believe the title is sufficient.
Any additional comments?
I would love to meet Nabeel. Although we are all human with our faults and frailties, he strikes me as a kind hearted human being.
