Nicholas Sparks is an amazing Storyteller. The way he tells a story is so beautiful.

The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is that this book as well as Dreamland were very predictable. But the story was still well done

Historia
It’s senior-year spring break, and Noelle Meyer and Evan Sinclair have been kidnapped. Neither knows why they were chosen, only that they share a tragic past: Evan’s father got away with killing Noelle’s mother, effectively ruining her family when the death was ruled an accident. Despite the connection that should have made them enemies, the teens instead unite to face their other common denominator—their abductors. Noelle and Evan survive one sadistic circumstance after another, eventually making a harrowing escape. But every happy ending comes at a price…

Unexpectedly Amazing
Revisado: 04-17-24
I snagged this book on a whim. I was absolutely hooked from the very first chapter. The storyline was dark and twisty and had a very robust ending. 10/10 would recommend

Hooked me from the first page

I loved this story. I feel like it had so many elements. There was even a bit of horror when it came to the warehouse scenes. The ending had me crying and it just all around felt like a good read

Kept me engaged
Revisado: 12-21-23
Good story, decent ending. It wasn’t anything I would say is an absolute must read, it didn’t have anything that was extremely stand out, but it did keep me engaged and was a solidly good quick read.

Just Average
Revisado: 11-16-23
This book was not bad but also not great. It was a little cliche and predictable to be honest but well enough written to not be boring. The main character was incredibly self centered in my opinion which made it hard to like her, and it just didn’t feel like we had much character development throughout

Took me on a rollercoaster of emotions
Revisado: 10-24-23
This book was honestly much better written than I expected. Hearing what went on and how Brit felt through the things I literally grew up watching unfold gave me such a feeling of connection to a woman I have always loved and adored. Knowing how often she felt alone and unheard broke my heart. I honestly don’t think much of the story was surprising at this point, but hearing what we all knew to be true in her perspective made it feel so raw. Im angry for her and all she had to endure, but as always I am left feeling so inspired by her and adoring her even more than ever.
