Historia
Writer for the New York Times and GQ, Mark Adams is also the acclaimed author of Mr. America. In this fascinating travelogue, Adams follows in the controversial footsteps of Hiram Bingham III, who’s been both lionized and vilified for his discovery of the famed Lost City in 1911—but which reputation is justified?

Great book!

There is history, adventure, and plain old fun in this book. The camaraderie between author and Australian guide draws the listener. So does the reader’s underplayed Australian accent. I recommend this book. S

Narrator special
Revisado: 01-19-22
I enjoyed this book very much. Helen Hayes is delightful. And I had no problem with the narrator being a male, especially since the book was dedicated to him. Very special.

Historia
Brain diseases are now the world's leading source of disability. The fastest growing of these is Parkinson's: the number of people with Parkinson's doubled to over six million over the last 25 years and is projected to double again by 2040. Harmful pesticides known to cause Parkinson's proliferate, many people remain undiagnosed and untreated, research funding stagnates, and the most effective treatment is now a half century old.

What About Individuals?

History of Parkinson’s was interesting.
Was expecting more info on what the individual with Parkinson’s could do to improve his situation. Instead, got more about the environment and the role of activists. Just wasn’t expecting it.
