Great alternative to Joe

While I admire Joe Pickett, Cody Hoyt is a much more human character, which illustrates that even flawed individuals can have their moments, too. Box is a fine author who knows his setting and characters well. I suspect I will eventually have his entire library of books.

Honest, refreshing, entertaining!

A thoroughly honest and original memoir that I did not expect to be so entertaining. Now I want to go back and watch all the movies again and those I've missed. More than that, I want to live with the same spirit! Thank you, McConaughey.

Near Perfection

This is a beautifully written and narrated story of family. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. The opening was somewhat slow but necessary, the tension low key and the climax inevitable, but masterfully rendered. I suspect readers will find themselves introspective and ruminate over their own lives after reading/listening.

While the movie may have fallen short of expectations, Miranda Richardson's reading of T.S. Eliot's classic really delivers! I smiled throughout the reading and felt like a kid again. I loved it

West Goes East

Walt Longmire goes Eat with Henry Standing Bear and arrives just in time to solve a murder and care for his daughter. His deputy, Vic, arrives and the plot takes a turn the Sheriff Longmire did not see coming. it's a great story. C. Johnson and his characters do not disappoint. what does disappoint (for me) is the narration. He has a great voice but is not what I hear when I read the books--a little too old fashioned sounding. Longmire has a few years on him but he's still virile, and that doesn't come across with this actor. However...that's only one person's opinion. Regardless....i will continue reading and listening to Craig Johnson's Longmire series.

It's Fun

This book won't win any awards, but it is quite fun to listen to. If one is looking for a good series that isn't too serious, but that is enjoyable, this series is right on point. It is not amazing, but the writing is solid, and the preformance is just as good. If you like Science Fiction, you will enjoy this book, and this book series.
