So well told I can every scene in my mind

Highly enjoyable and educational. I tried to submit a five star rating before I finished the story but the app didn’t save it. I still feel like this a great expression after the credits played. Who knows; maybe it will post but I’m not giving it the time it needs to process?

Your husband or wife leaves for a trip and you freak yourself out when you haven't heard from them when they said they'd call. Or maybe its just a normal day but realizing 'anything could happen' your mind, goes there..... Doom and gloom and what would that feel like. This podcast is about the Condition & Cure from my personal experience with ANTICIPATORY GRIEF. Nobody talks about this - especially because its about the tears over visualizing life after the death of a person who is perfectly fine today! No one is terminally ill - but the fear ebbs and flows and as it does the latter it ...

Good show! I experience this when one of my kids is not home when I get home or sneaks out in the middle of the night.

Our brains do their best to help us out, but every so often they can be real assholes - having meltdowns, getting addicted to things, or shutting down completely at the worst possible moments. Your brain knows it's not good to do these things, but it can't help it sometimes - especially if it's obsessing about trauma it can't overcome. That's where this life-changing book comes in. With humor, patience, science, and lots of good-ole swearing, Dr. Faith explains what's going on in your skull, and talks you through the process of retraining your brain to respond appropriately....

I won’t curse as much after listening to this book.

A lot of funny moments. I learned many lessons. I would listen to it again if the recording had better audio and editing.

This is an easily digestible argument about what rights we have, what rights Republicans are trying to take away, and how to stop them. Mystal explains how to protect the rights of women and people of color instead of cowering to the absolutism of gun owners and bigots. He explains the legal way to stop everything from police brutality to political gerrymandering, just by changing a few judges and justices. He strips out all of the fancy jargon conservatives like to hide behind and lays bare the truth of their project to keep America forever tethered to its slaveholding past.

I am thoroughly entertained and informed by this writer!

My new favorite book and The Performance is pure perfection! His anger and solutions is what does it for me. I am recommending this book to everyone. I am getting the hardcover version on Amazon. Just love it! I can see myself heading to a local bookstore for more copies to distribute. Seriously! Best written book I have read this year! Definitely following this author after finishing his book.

Historia
Born during the Civil War into a slaveholding family that included Black, White, and Cherokee forebears, Adella Hunt Logan dedicated herself to advancing political and educational opportunities for the African American community. She taught at Alabama's Tuskegee Institute but also joined the segregated woman suffrage movement, passing for White in order to fight for the rights of people of color. Her determination - as a wife, mother, scholar, and activist - to challenge the draconian restraints of race and gender generated conflicts that precipitated her tragic demise.

I know some of it is made up or consolidated for convenience and privacy
Revisado: 03-23-23
The author rightly admits she had to use creative writing skills for some of the story but the book is interesting and tells of four generations of American history which can be collaborated with other sources. I enjoyed this Audiobook and am glad I listed until the end. I recommend this book as an additional entertaining look into American history and how our ancestors were influenced and connected to one another.

Historia
Ulysses is regarded by many as the single most important novel of the 20th century. It tells the story of one day in Dublin, June 16th 1904, largely through the eyes of Stephen Dedalus (Joyce's alter ego from Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man) and Leopold Bloom, an advertising salesman. Both begin a normal day, and both set off on a journey around the streets of Dublin, which eventually brings them into contact with one another.

I mostly can’t relate to the stories

Even though I don’t have a connection with the majority of the stories, there are some shocking moments that I will remember. The best part of this Audible was the male performance. I enjoyed his performance very much.

Ghost. Lu. Patina. Sunny. Four kids from wildly different backgrounds with personalities that are explosive when they clash. But they are also four kids chosen for an elite middle school track team - a team that could qualify them for the Junior Olympics if they can get their acts together. They all have a lot to lose, but they also have a lot to prove, not only to each other, but to themselves.

Good story in a 90’s kind of style
Revisado: 01-12-23
This was an assessment read for my 7th grader: he wasn’t that into it. Born in 2009, my kid failed to relate to most of the bullying plot or the family drama that happens throughout. I didn’t mind listening to it with him on the way to school in the mornings and could relate to a lot of the plotting. I recommend this book as a parental read with a preteen or kid who may be susceptible to getting into trouble.
