Historia
Casual fun with my emotionally stunted, overgrown frat boy roommate slash co-worker should be perfect, right? Shep seems to be just as allergic to commitment as I am to emotions, but that doesn't mean we don't need our stroker rods serviced, if you catch my drift. Now if he'll just stop looking at me with those dopey puppy dog eyes while I'm elbow deep in a diesel engine, and making my stomach flip with that smile of his, that would be great…

I love how she writes about all the messy, seemingly odd ways that love can happen. it's not always a tidy little fairy tale. love this author!

Historia
Savin "Savage" Pajari is convinced he's not worth a damn thing. He's not like his brothers. He's a sadistic monster, a killer - a man no woman could truly love. So it completely throws him when a stranger risks her life for his, pushing him out of the way and taking the hit that would have sent him six feet under. If he had any kind of sense, he'd leave her alone, but Savage can't get the woman with a smart mouth and no sense of self-preservation out of his head. With one kiss, he's lost.

repetitive

Love her books & even generally like this series in spite of the sensitive subject matter. this particular book just felt rushed & underdeveloped. much of the descriptions repeated themselves far too much as well as randomly. we get it. its a hard fetish to explore. but if she put in the research & had given it the careful thought she does the others it would have been much better. I know a tiny bit about the scene & she really doesn't explore much of it. I feel this would have been better avoided if she wasn't going to give it the same treatment as the others. however I very much appreciated the attention to detail on the subject of narcissists & gas lighting. that is a subject everyone should know more about! just not her usual level of writing is all. perhaps it is time for her to cut back on how frequently she publishes new volumes in each series.
