For the first and possibly last time, Josh Gad dives into a wide array of personal topics: the lasting impact of his parents’ divorce; how he struggled with weight and self-image; his first big break; how everyone was sure his most successful ventures (both on the big screen and the stage) would fail; his take on fatherhood, and so much more.

Way better than I expected
Revisado: 08-22-23
This is not the normal genre I read but it was recommended by a good friend so I gave it a go. It was perfect for a summer listen. A good story that kept me interested and entertained and I had to just keep listening! The narration is good and the story moves nicely. The hours fly by. I think I will think about this book albeit completely fiction for a long time.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Long and Predictable
Revisado: 02-13-22
The Frozen Lake was long and drawn out like a British period TV drama. Written like an American Soap Opera with a ridiculous plot however the narration was superb.
It took 15 chapters into the book before anything really interesting happened.

Loved this book from beginning to end. One has to forgive the timeline a bit, reader will see what I mean at the beginning of the book but you will easily forgive this as it adds to the story at the end.

Transcending
Revisado: 05-18-21
The Italian adventure is truly transcending of geography, colorful vision and food. The plot a bit obvious but the tale of it was a nice vacation even if the Italian accents were bad.
This is not my typical type of book but I enjoyed it immensely, an easy gentle escape with a smile on my face and a craving for good wine.
