Cajun joyride into history
Revisado: 01-01-25
What am enjoyable listen from start to finish!
I listened in two sittings.( Would have been one, but an obligation interrupted.) This yarn brought history to life. The descriptive talents of the author made me feel like I was there with the characters. The reader, Steve Larsen, both through his easy flow and vocal creation of characters, takes the listener on a feast for the imagination journey.

Historia
Are you ready to be challenged, have your heart exposed, and face raw truth? Pilgrim on God and Salvation by John Bunyan (author of The Pilgrim’s Progress) will peel away layers of your very person until you face the raw truth of your soul before God. Bunyan wrote this book during his 12 year imprisonment, and the audiobook will transport you to his dungeon. Listeners will imagine themselves in a cell with Bunyan while he speaks passionately to the heart.

John Bunyan Made Relatable and Understandable
Revisado: 10-08-24
The Reader, Steve Larsen, uses his gift of being a talented reader to bring this story to life. He has an excellent timber to his voice. His enthusiasm is evident through appropriate inflection and smooth flow.
The story is very good and much easier to follow and understand than the original writings of Bunyan.
I would recommend the listener jot down the scriptures provided, and pause after each chapter to read them and fully appreciate the passage they just heard. This pause will also enable further comprehension and appreciation of each chapter.
I Look forward to future works by both author and reader.

"I've experienced a whole lot the last few years and I have a lot to share. So I hope that you'll take a moment to sit back, relax and enjoy the words I've put together for you in this book. I think you'll find I've left no stone unturned, no door unopened, no window unbroken, no rug unvacuumed, no ivories untickled. What I'm saying is, let us begin, shall we?" (Ellen DeGeneres)

laugh til you cry
Revisado: 11-09-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
If you want lighthearted clean humor and intelligent wit, this is the audible book for you.
Who was your favorite character and why?
No one besides Ellen herself could perform this book. Her timing in delivery was impeccable.
Which character – as performed by Ellen DeGeneres – was your favorite?
Since she played herself throughout the book with charismatic finesse, there's really no way to answer who your favorite character is. Unless you break it down to Ellen at home, Ellen in public, etc. Her view on life and every day happenstance that occurs in everyone's life, will make you laugh in spite of yourself.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Seriously...I'm Kidding...No Really
Any additional comments?
My mother and I listened to this together on a rare and enjoyable extended visit. I don't think either of us have laughed so much during one sitting since she blamed a loud fart on me at a restraunt when I was in high school. Ah, but there's a story for another time... enjoy!
