Nix writes an incredibly compelling book about what the medical profession fails to tell us. Her book about Anna, Alaska, the disease family and faith kept me listening nonstop. I saw the book at a shop in Alaska and ordered it as an audio. I loved hearing her tell her story, learned so much. Thank you Meaghan for such an important book.

Mr. Davies is self absorbed & the book is really quite boring. But I suppose the author who has many books & publications to his credit is entitled to prattle on at 85 which was his age when writing t t his book. But, it is more about name dropping than love in old age.

Interesting travelogue about finding yourself. Luke’s personal story takes a long time to unravel. He talks about self discovery ad nauseum. His catholic faith & need to find meaning get a bit tedious. He was lucky to be able to search and grieve the way he did. I’m certain it wasn’t easy.

I hate fighting & cage fighting is brutal. But this is more about knowing what you’re facing as a result of brain injuries from sports. Dementia is terrifying. Self inflicted & knowing you can’t stop is paralyzing.

Moriarty’s tennis family novel is fantastic. Her ability to articulate the thoughts & feelings of each member is amazing. Stress, good will, love, anger, misunderstanding & forgiveness. The pace never slows. And the narrator is perfect. I took long walks just to listen to the book.
