dramatic pauses, and slow slow pacing
Revisado: 10-28-24
the voice acting of narrator was amazing, and although it was a compelling story it really didn't leave me as awe inspired as ACOTAR series has this far with only acosf the current final book and more to come. it felt like the author had to keep repeating how great the MFC was over and over again instead of showing us through the story. she bumbled about through the books more like a girl with a few combat skills, the romances were quick and confusing, and out of all the characters I believe the blackbeaks were written the most compelling. an entire other series could be based just on Manon. she had growth, strength, ferocity, romance that was slow but wicked, comraderie and loss that the author didn't need to keep reminding us about over and over. that was a very well written character and I'd love to hear more. I think the best part of this series was how she hinted at the world of ACOTAR, of prythian, and I can't wait to see how she ties all 3 series of hers together.
good read, wordy and dramatic and repetitive, and how many damn titles can people pile on one woman 🤣🤣🤣. but a fun read regardless. probably won't read again though. ACOTAR? that I'm reading for the 3rd time to pick up all the clues!!

gorgeous story, cringy voices
Revisado: 02-06-23
I absolutely adore this story by Kresley. while Bowen starts out as a total a******, as a good chunk of her male leads do, he really evolves into one of my favorite male leads in her series. I feel like there was so much potential with this one particular story she could have made sequels or her own mini series because the end felt really rushed. another beautiful h e a, and if I would have changed anything it would have been some of the voices done by the VA. it wasn't until maybe the 3rd or 4th scene with Bowen that he used the original voice that he had done for him back in the recording for a hunger like no other. I feel like that higher pitched almost breathy voice really suited his character better than the super low husky voice he does for most of the male leads. I feel like a voice actor should not be limited in the voices that they do for the main characters, and I like when he switches it up a bit. though... some of the lines and ways that they're said are super cringy. It's not nearly as bad as some of the things that Sebastian says in the previous book. I got my husband to listen to these last two books which he actually enjoyed the story of but agrees with me that some of the naughty scenes are too lengthy and some of the voices just made us crack up. He now jokes about Sebastian's voice making his own Igor impression and going"oh Katya! it's sooo wheeet"
And I cannot unhear it now. I think that's why I will always prefer reading these books to listening to them but overall it was worth the time. Thank you for your job well done!
The only thing that could have made it any better is if a voice acting cast was there to switch it up for certain voices. as amazing of a job as this VA does... Mr petcock I believe is his name?, I really would like to hear female voices for the female vocals.

cotton mouth v.a. great story
Revisado: 06-15-18
absolutely love the story. only downside is the v.a sounds like his mouth is full of spit or cotton balls. It is a very fuzzy and thick sound which makes most of his syllables hard to hear. additionally he has a habit of getting incredibly quiet and following that by being incredibly loud which makes listening to him while driving a pain in the butt. I wish he would have equalised the volume on the actual recording so you didn't have to adjust it while listening to it

Historia
The Underdark. A place of brooding darkness, where no shadows exist, and where Drizzt Do'Urden does not wish to go. The noble dark elf must return there, though, he must go back to find his friends in the gnome city of Blingdenstone, and on to Menzoberranzan, the city of drow. Only then can Drizzt discern what perils might reach out from that dark place to threaten his friends in Mithril Hall.

phenomenal story, the v.a. needs work.
Revisado: 04-23-18
the gent narrating sounds like he has a mouthful of spit or cottonballs. very thick and fuzzy syllables and often difficult to understand. I found the vocals jarring and forced at points, especially the semi Scottish accensts of the dwarves people. his dramatic interpretations are theatric, but hard to understand. I had to reqind more than I wished to get certain areas and found it hard to get over the full cottony thick way he speaks.
the story itself is another phenomenal piece by Salvatore. absolutely glorious his transition from the demolished friends and heartbroken group to the battle at hand.
