Such a great story
Revisado: 01-14-22
Beverley Lee has captivated me story after story and once again she has stolen my breath away with The Ruin of Delicate Things.
The story starts out as a slow burn and continues to pick up pace all the way to the end. What a roller coaster of emotions this ride was. The characters felt like they were right next to me relating their stories right to me and making me feel all that they felt, from loss to fear to anger to strength.
I recommend this to anyone who likes a little bit of superstition and a whole lot of working through loss and those things that hold the loss at the forefront of our brains.

Another great listen from my new favorite author!!
Revisado: 01-05-22
I received a copy of the audiobook of this novel from the author and I feel lucky to have gotten it.
The Making of Gabriel Davenport is my second trek into the world that Beverley Lee has created and honestly once again she has hit it out of the park for me.
When the story first started I was hooked on the background of Gabriel’s life as seen through the eyes of his Mother Beth. Then boom I am slapped in the heart strings by a Demon trying to take it all away, only for an unlikely hero to intervene. Skip to years later and now everything in Gabriel’s world is being shaken up and all he wants is the truth from all those around him.
The twists and turns through the end left me waiting for the next free moment where I could listen, and the ending left me wishing I had my hands on book 2 already.
This story had my heart racing to the end, and honestly I cannot wait for more. I highly recommend this, whether you read the novel or listen to the audiobook you will not be let down. Absolutely fantastic listen from a fantastic author who is becoming my new favorite.
