A MUST Read!! Snowden a HERO!
Revisado: 10-27-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I've recommended this book to many! Can't put it down, Edward Snowden is no traitor, he is a People's Hero. Risking Life & Limb to expose what the Truth really is, and where the NSA is Secretly trying to pull! 'Collect Everything!" is the creed by the head of NSA, and it's not enemies, but Everyone world wide is being watched! True, and frightening.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
The build-up by Greenwald going to Hong Kong, and finding out that the Truth was there, all 20,000+ pages!
Which scene was your favorite?
All of them- It's a cover to cover read!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The Truth is Exposed. The Secret Ideations of the President(s) & N.S.A. to keep every American under control. No Safe Haven: NO WHERE TO HIDE!
Any additional comments?
A Great Adventure Story, but the Reality & Truth of it, will frighten every citizen world-wide! NEVER will listen to the Spin-meisters anymore!

Inspector Rebus at his Best!
Revisado: 09-18-10
The Falls starts off with a bang and goes on from there. Ian Rankin's Charactor needs no previous introduction, as this outing needs no prologue or charactor intros. It's fast paced and written as a stand alone or as part of a series. It does well either way.
From beginning to end, "The Falls" keeps the reader on the edge of his seat. Excellent read & narration. A great book for any library!

Historia
A plan to destroy America, a hundred years in the making, is about to be unleashed. There is a powerful technique called the Overton Window that can shape our lives, our laws, and our future. It works by manipulating public perception so that ideas previously thought of as radical begin to seem acceptable over time. Move the Window and you change the debate. Change the debate and you change the country.

Outstanding!
Revisado: 08-06-10
Glenn has really hit the nail on the head! Set in a fictional environment, it teems with the realities of today's troubles. The events of 9/11/2001 made us forget about THE event of Sept 10th! Rumsfeld's announcement of "Losing" 2.37 TRILLION Dollars!!
I highly recommend this book for the story, the possibilities / probabilities, plus not ONE Foul word! Refreshing! Great Intrigue, drama, and enlightenment!

The Sword of Shannara: The Shannara Series, Book 1
Revisado: 01-30-07
Although it has been noted in other reviews of Brooks' Similarity to "Lord of the Rings", I see that as a Half Truth. These books are more entertaining, and the character development is much more in depth. While there are dwarfs, kings, etc.. I think the addition of the Trolls, Druids, and the like, which Tolkien keeps limited. As I have read it, this is NOT a book that was happening in the past, but the far distant future, After modern man had destroyed themselves from high tech and the ultimate of all wars. This is what I gather, and the "Druids" are the "Historians" , who have access to the knowledge of the past, some in books and some passed from one to another.
It's pure Fantastic entertainment, sort of "Lord of the Rings" the distant aftermath! I enjoy Tolkien, but "Shannara" is just as, if not more enjoyable. So what if Brooks takes some the peoples from "Rings", such then would the argument be for Tolkien taking things from the Brothers Grimm.
It's still an excellent read! And I can't wait for the "Prequel" and Book 2, with the Elfstones for my next two "Must" books!

What a Book!
Revisado: 12-01-04
I found this book was very enticing, well paced, and very excellently narrated! I am listening to it for the second time!
Although the beginning might SEEM extranious, it all congeals together later on, and well worth listening to the entire Unabridged version! I loved it, and the narrator really gets kudos for putting the "Zing" into each of the characters!
It almost seemed like I was listening to a factual novel, not fiction :definately a first rate book for anybody!
If you like "The DaVinci Code" or any of the Clancy books, this one should definately be part of everyone's library!
