Historia
Ancient Egyptian civilization is so grand our minds sometimes have difficulty adjusting to it. It lasted 3,000 years, longer than any other on the planet. Its Great Pyramid of Cheops was the tallest building in the world until well into the 19th century and remains the only Ancient Wonder still standing. And it was the most technologically advanced of the ancient civilizations, with the medical knowledge that made Egyptian physicians the most famous in the world.

Comprehensive and thoroughly enjoyable.
Revisado: 02-03-20
Everything I ever wanted to know about ancient Egypt and far more beyond. This book has filed a gap for me in history that has linked not only Egypt but the Greeks and Romans who followed. Highly recommend for anyone with even a remote interest in this incredible culture that began our understanding of modern civilizations.

Extraordinary!
Revisado: 12-10-19
You could listen to this book and scoff, citing all the science and history you know or think you know; or you could take the time to question what you know and how ms went you know it. Take the red pill and wonder just for a moment if what Graham Hancock has written about here is closer to reality than the reality we know.

Historia
Almost all accounts of D-Day are told from the Allied perspective, with the emphasis on how German resistance was overcome on June 6, 1944. But what was it like to be a German soldier in the bunkers and gun emplacements of the Normandy coast, facing the onslaught of the mightiest seaborne invasion in history? What motivated the German defenders, what were their thought processes - and how did they fight from one strong point to another, among the dunes and fields, on that first cataclysmic day?

Absolutely superb
Revisado: 06-29-16
I took Michael Fuchs' name in vain when I realised this release was a prequel and not the next book in the series. How could he keep me waiting even longer!!! All is forgiven Michael. This is the best book yet and manages to increase my anticipation for the next part of the story further (which I thought was impossible).
A superb series that just keeps getting better. 5*s.

Nice twist
Revisado: 03-29-16
An interesting twist on the zombie genera with some graphic and depraved situations. Overall I really enjoyed this book but the narrator does let it down. He struggled with any kind of accent and was very difficult to understand at some points. Don't let that put you off though, certainly worth a listen.

Historia
Sometimes in medicine the only way to know what is truly going on in a patient is to operate, to look inside with one's own eyes. This book is exploratory surgery on medicine itself, laying bare a science not in its idealized form but as it actually is - complicated, perplexing, and profoundly human.

Nobody knew where it came from. Nobody knew why it came. When an eight-foot-tall man made of stone appears in the middle of a busy city center one July afternoon, two-bit (and antisocial) reporter Andy Pointer assumes it's just a publicity stunt. Indeed, so does everyone else...until the Stone Man begins to walk, heading silently through the wall of the nearest building, flattening it, and killing several people inside as a result.

Historia
You were on your way home when you died. It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me. And that’s when you met me." A short story about the universe.

Started off so well - rushed ending
Revisado: 07-28-14
If the quality of the opening to this book had been maintained throughout it would have been a 5 start read without question. Unfortunately it deteriorates linearly to a rather pathetic whimper of an ending that even the narrator seems to struggle to finish. It was clearly rushed to a conclusion which is a shame because I had been thoroughly enjoying this book and the potential for a great finale.
