Historia
Dante, Blays, and Gladdic's final effort to defeat him has failed. Within weeks—if not days—Rale will be destroyed. One last hope remains. They can't kill Nolost, but they may be able to eject him from Rale before he can complete his work. To do so, though, they'll have to destroy a world themselves: Olastar, the home of the portals that link all other places together.

It needs an end now.
Revisado: 02-05-23
This most likely my favorite book series. So much about it is wonderful and a pleasure to read; but now that it's come so far and over such a long time... It needs an end.
While you at it, grow some balls and let a main character die! It's so formulaic in the "high stakes" department that you may as well never have any worry anything won't come out fine in the end.

Being an unwanted twin in the Imperial line of succession, Farilane became a scholar, adventurer, and in a time when reading was once more forbidden—a book hunter. Her singular obsession is finding the mythical Book of Brin, a tome not just lost but intentionally buried. Respected and beloved by the Teshlor Knights, not even their legendary skills can protect her for what she finds is more dangerous than what she sought.

Amazing
Revisado: 09-25-22
It's normal to be rooting for and excited to follow the main character around the story, but in this case, the main character takes a back seat to her companion of many books previous and the amazing developments of his personality and character.
wonderful ending, one of the most satisfying I've ever read. I wholeheartedly loved the book, though my one worthwhile criticism is that the introduction of the main character was forced and... Cumberbatched...

Historia
I wanted to treat my girlfriend to a trip to New Orleans for some much needed R-and-R. That was the plan. Stopping in Memphis for a night of partying, I awoke to find I had no memories of the night before, another woman had joined us in bed for the evening, and a demon sat in the hotel’s bar, wanting to talk....

Enjoyable read, short and sweet.
Revisado: 02-18-20
I enjoyed the pacing quite a bit and found the story to be a step above of the last book. I would have liked to of had more in depth explanations of the world based, but it is a short story after all.
Good characters overall, and enjoyable but cookie cutter plot. The sex over and undertones are overdone and add nothing over all.
Narrator was far more confident in the roles and voices this time around, really pulling me in to the book. Though there were a few missteps at a few emotional/story points later in the book I found to be a bit underdone, leading to a less than desirable feeling after a few turns and confrontations within the story.
Decent short story overall. I enjoyed my time with the tone and characters.

Historia
It was a typical February night in 1951 when she stepped into one of Nashville’s many dives and into my life. The blonde asked for my story, wanting to know what had me drinking. She had no idea it was the same thing that had me working at nights, hunting down the monsters that stalk the back alleys of my city. Back in ’31, the job was just supposed to be another bank heist - in, then out, then we'd be rich. But along with the money, we found that cursed ruby, and nothing was the same again.

Good performance, rather basic story.
Revisado: 09-24-18
An enjoyable read.
Going into this book I was unsure of what to expect. While I would consider the story generic, though I found the writing engaging enough I forgot I was listening too an audio book for most of the duration; I enjoyed the excursion into the world of the ruby.
the narrator did a fantastic job as well. Consistent throughout with the voices. I found them very easy to listen too and used a very appropriate tone for this story and pacing. Outside of one character later introduced into the book, I was very happy with the overall performance and look forward to listening to more of his work.

Second time through has been a treat!
Revisado: 10-14-16
I must admit, I'm writing this from a phone so it will brief.
This is now my second run through with M Lover's first book, the first being a very enjoyable experience, but now, having listened to the material, I have a new found appreciation for the story overall.
the narrator has done a fantastic job throughout most of the book. I found there to be only a few small inconsistencies with character voices, and some chosen tones seemed odd, but this is nearly all personal preference. Once she hit her stride, she didn't slow.
Fantastic book and performance. High fantasy readers give this a read!
