Historia
The stories were all wrong—Hook was never the villain. For two centuries, all of the Darling women have disappeared on their 18th birthday. Sometimes they’re gone for only a day, some a week or a month. But they always return broken. Now, on the afternoon of my 18th birthday, my mother is running around the house making sure all the windows are barred and the doors locked. But it’s pointless. Because when night falls, he comes for me. And this time, the Never King and the Lost Boys aren’t willing to let me go.

There were no trigger warnings before starting this and I cant request a refund bc I didn't use a credit. This story is stupid. It's just the Lost Boys running a train on a kidnapped Wendy on her 18th bday.

Historia
After nearly eighteen months at Basgiath War College, Violet Sorrengail knows there’s no more time for lessons. No more time for uncertainty. Because the battle has truly begun, and with enemies closing in from outside their walls and within their ranks, it’s impossible to know who to trust. Now Violet must journey beyond the failing Aretian wards to seek allies from unfamiliar lands to stand with Navarre. The trip will test every bit of her wit, luck, and strength, but she will do anything to save what she loves—her dragons, her family, her home, and him.

whisper sync doesn't work but the audio is fine
Revisado: 01-24-25
if you aren't using whisper sync then it's fine but if you like using whisper sync it doesn't work right unfortunately. Story and narration done very well as always, though!

Historia
Phaedra has been cast to the side all her life: daughter of an adulteress, sister of a monster, and now unwilling bride to the much-older, power-hungry Theseus. Young, naïve, and idealistic, she has accepted her lot in life, resigned to existing under the sinister weight of Theseus’s control and the constant watchful eye of her handsome stepson Hippolytus. When supposedly pious Hippolytus assaults her, Phaedra’s world is darkened in the face of untouchable, prideful power. In the face of injustice, Phaedra refuses to remain quiet any longer.

Short, bland story & annoying narrators
Revisado: 04-21-23
This was a "me too" movement book which I didn't realize before beginning to read. This retelling of the story supposes that Phaedra was SA'd and disgustingly mistreated. The different perspectives of narrators was odd and distracting. The night time chorus was hoaky and the whole story seemed to try to capitalize on the me too movement which I think is kind of wrong. The narrator doing the men's voices has a distracting southern American lilt to his voice that seems out of place in a historical drama. The only saving grace was that this was an extremely short story, but also what a waste of money.
I read this because I enjoyed books like Circe, Ariadne, Song of Achilles, etc. but PHAEDRA IS NOT IT.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

well done!
Revisado: 01-18-23
Prince Harry is a surprisingly great story teller. I loved the way he formatted each story and it flowed so well. His voice is one of the best narrations I've listened to as well. Very well done overall. Wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did.

Boring & terrible female perspective
Revisado: 11-06-21
I love SK but this was probably my least favorite story. It was so drawn out and boring. I also disliked his female perspective. Does he really think every female is so offended about their weight that THAT would be the one thing to keep them fighting for their life? So cliche and lazy writing.
