Historia
Criminologist Martin Knight lives a gilded life and is a thorn in the side of the police. But then his wife, Liz, goes missing. There is no good explanation and no sign of Martin.... To make things worse, Liz is the ex-girlfriend of DCI Craig Gillard who is drawn into the investigation. Is it just a missing person or something worse? And what relevance do the events around the shocking Girl F case, so taken up by Knight, have to do with the present? The truth is darker than you could ever have imagined.

Disappointed
Revisado: 06-12-23
The story started out well. Writing was well done with a very good narrator. About mid way story became convoluted and seemed like writer lied to you in the beginning. Wasn’t impressed.

Historia
Tanzania, 1964. When Katie Barstow, A-list actress, and her new husband, David Hill, decide to bring their Hollywood friends to the Serengeti for their honeymoon, they envision giraffes gently eating leaves from the tall acacia trees, great swarms of wildebeests crossing the Mara River, and herds of zebras storming the sandy plains. Their glamorous guests—including Katie’s best friend, Carmen Tedesco, and Terrance Dutton, the celebrated Black actor who stars alongside Katie in the highly controversial film Tender Madness—will spend their days taking photos.

Contrived
Revisado: 07-23-22
I thought it sounded like an interesting story line, but was very disappointing. There were too many side stories that really didn’t finish and the characters were not well developed. The writing was forced and a lot of virtue signaling. Can certainly tell it was written in 2022 but was about the late 1950’s and into the 60’s; the dialogues were too modern and self serving. Would not recommend. It wasn’t well written and a lot of fluff.

The most violent thunderstorm in living memory occurs above a sleepy village on the West Coast of Scotland. A young couple take shelter in the woods, never to be seen again.... DCI Jack Russell is brought in to investigate. Nearing retirement, he agrees to undertake one last case, which he believes can be solved as a matter of routine. But what Jack discovers in the forest leads him to the conclusion that he is following in the footsteps of a psychopath who is just getting started.

Very gifted writer and narrator. The story is building with this book; have a feeling it is just the beginning. The prose is detailed, sophisticated, and brings you close to the story and geographical setting. Looking forward to more from this writer.
