The story has all the right parts a good book needs, a slow burn and towards the end, steamy romance. Adventure and nice plot turns that keep you on your toes to know more. (5 starts)
A good world building and attention to details, with very good consistency when describing the physical characteristics of the characters. The side characters have a body on the book of their own, which helps to enrich the story. (5 stars)
The MMC is definitely something. He is mysterious and dangerous but with the FMC he’s charismatic, charming and romantic. (5 stars)
The FMC is independent, has a good heart but is very strong headed (a little too much and that’s why I’m taking one star out). We come to understand why she hates the Elysians towards the end of the book, but she acts very childish (I know she just turned 18) which annoyed me some. I.e.: she was told to follow certain rules to help her to pass the trials and she would refuse follow them just because, which caused her to get hurt in the trials. Did she learned her lessons? Of course not, and she made the same mistake which almost has got her killed. (4 stars)
Overall, the book is a solid 4,5 stars and definitely worth the ride. Now, I’m going to start book two. See ya!

I was expecting so much more based on the reviews I’ve seen for this book, but it was a totally turn down.

First, let start with the beginning which was very confusing and hard to get a grip on what was going on. Alexandre did a good job giving voice to the male characters, especially with the different accents.

However, Tieran’s narration for the female characters was flat, to say the minimum. She used the same voz and intonation for inner monologues and for all other female characters, which just made it harder to understand who was speaking or if it was just a thought in the FMC mind. Maybe the book would be better if read instead of listening to it.

I was trying to give it a try and kept going until chapter 9, when Theodora finally discovered about the lycans and saw Connor shifting to wolf and then back to human WITHOUT loosing his clothes. That’s The biggest bummer to me when reading shapeshifters books. I don’t care if you want to create a diferente and original story. Keeping the clothes intact after shifting just don’t work for me. Their bodies are magical, not their clothes.

Unfortunately, I had to call quits and DNF.
I’m just upset that wasted credit with this book.
