Historia
Toni Murphy was eighteen when she and her boyfriend, Ryan, were wrongly convicted of the murder of her younger sister. Now she is thirty-four and back in her hometown, working every day to forge and adjust to a new life on the outside. She's doing everything in her power to avoid violating her parole and going back to prison. But nothing is making that easy – not Ryan, who is convinced he can figure out the truth; not her mother, who clearly doubts Toni's innocence; and certainly not the group of women who made Toni's life miserable in high school.

Really good
Revisado: 04-08-25
After reading the reviews I still gave this book a shot and glad I did and didn’t listen to them. Love all the narrators and have listened to a lot of their narrations. I loved this book because it was something new and kept my interest all the way through. Suspense and a little sad. Definitely a recommendable book and worth a credit. The ending for me was shocking and good. Not sure why people are reviewing as not good. Enjoyable book give it a try!

JUST OK
Revisado: 02-27-25
I listened to the book on audible and have listened to LOTS of Imogene Church narration who I love. This book was a recommendation on the Psychological Thriller Readers Facebook Group. Honestly it just didn't hit well with me. At times it felt to over the board and fake. I even laughed at times at the over exaggeration of thoughts Fiona had about killing. Spoiler: She didn't even kill anyone but acted like she was a serial killer. There was a lot of potential here but it just fell flat for me. I listened to the whole book and the ending was blah. Not one of my faves.

Am I The Only 1
Revisado: 02-19-25
I didn’t like it. I listened for about 6 hours and just couldn’t understand what was going on and who some of the characters were. Every time I would restart the listen throughout the day I felt more and more lost. I’ve listened to over 600 audiobooks and after seeing lots of great reviews I decided to listen. I tried and tried but it just wasn’t for me. I’ve loved all the other books I’ve listened to by John Marrs but this one was a hard no for me. Great narration though.

A decade ago, the company announced that they had found the gene that pairs each of us with our soul mate. Since then, millions of people around the world have been matched. But the discovery has its downsides: Test results have led to the breakup of countless relationships and upended the traditional ideas of dating, romance, and love.

What If Or How About
Revisado: 01-24-25
I felt this book was just ok. Almost stopped so many times. I couldn’t stand the what if this or what of that or how about this. At some points it was so confusing and not really knowing if it was part of it or a What If. I love the narrator and the only thing that kept me going. The overall story and outcome were good and I like that the story was original. Just needs parts taken out to really feel the story come together because I enjoyed it.

Fast forward 6 hours
Revisado: 01-18-25
I waited a month for the audiobook and then waited for the reviews which were a mix of great and ok. So I decided to give it a chance. The first 6 hours were so boring and most of the time it was background noise because it didn’t feel like the story was going anywhere. I almost stopped listening but wanted to know the twist and I had already invested. Then about 3ish hours left when the story started coming together and kept my interest. If there wasn’t so much hype with the author and the book I wouldn’t have used a credit. But the ending was really good just wish the lead to it had more interest. Still a big Alice Feeney fan but this one was not my cup of tea. <3
Awesome narration!

Historia
In The Worst of You, just-wed architects Timo and Nia flee a murder scene, setting in motion a chain reaction of lies and betrayals that threaten to unravel everything they have built together. Twisted and propulsive, this thriller is told from the alternating perspectives of the couple and those close to them on Williwaw Island, each with their own motive to use the outcome of the murder case to their advantage. When a huge storm sweeps up the coast, trapping everyone on tiny Williwaw Island, it’s a race against time—and the elements — to stop the murderer from striking again.

It was good
Revisado: 01-14-25
I eventually started listening to this book and it turned out to be really good. My initial thought was that it was a fantasy book and it’s not my fave to listen to but turned out it was not but a really good suspense. The ending was a little blah but otherwise I enjoyed it.
