Historia
Emerson, Georgia, and Marley have been best friends ever since they met at a weight-loss camp as teens. When Emerson tragically passes away, she leaves one final wish for her best friends: to conquer the fears they still carry as adults. For Marley, it's coming to terms with the survivor's guilt she's carried around since her twin sister's death, which has left her blind to the real chance for romance in her life. For Georgia, it's learning to stop trying to live up to her mother's and brother's ridiculous standards and learning to accept love.

So much truth!
Revisado: 02-12-24
This story hits on a lot of hard topics, but so much truth has been written about. Sometimes hard to listen to, but I think it's necessary for people to understand the plight of fat person. I can relate to so many things in this book.

Historia
It's nearly Christmas, Julia Devine's favourite time of the year. She's just programmed a wonderful lead into the holidays at Sunny Street Cinema, which leaves her plenty of time to worry about going home to Cumbria for Christmas. Her mum and stepdad are fine, but the thought of spending another holiday with her awful stepsister Becca is enough to make a Scrooge out of anyone. When Becca calls to let her know about the dreamy pilot she's bringing to Christmas lunch, Julia finally snaps and does something very silly.

Narration was painful
Revisado: 12-03-23
I love other books by Clare Flynn and was excited to start the third book in this series. I was sorely disappointed to hear that the narrator was different than the first two books, but decided to give it a try. The narration was so painful to listen to, that I had to end a few chapters in and return the book. Very disappointed. For the part I heard,

Lorna Barnett is tired of playing the role of "good girl" that her mother has always lived, and that high society prizes. It isn't until she meets Jens Harken that she realizes she yearns to be cherished for herself. Although Jens is a servant, his strength and intelligence put all the society men she's met to shame.

Historia
When Royal Academy painting student Lucy Coover trips over a naked man passed out in an East End alley, she does the decent thing. She covers him up and fetches help. Trouble is, she can't banish his muscular form from her dreams as easily. Compelled to capture every detail, she creates a stunning portrait but is forced to sell it when the rent comes due. What could be worse than surrendering the very picture of your desire? Meeting the man himself.

Narration is bad
Revisado: 02-01-23
So many people said the narration was wonderful on this book but, it is over the top dramatic. I couldn’t get through more than two chapters. Hopefully, I can return it.

Couldn’t get through this one
Revisado: 12-03-22
I listened to all the books in the series leading up to this one but this one was over the top cheesy. I just couldn’t get through it. The others were a little cheesy, but in a sweet, Hallmark way. Too bad.
