Historia
In 12 Rules for Life, clinical psychologist and celebrated professor at Harvard and the University of Toronto Dr. Jordan B. Peterson helped millions impose order on the chaos of their lives. Now, in this bold sequel, Peterson delivers 12 more lifesaving principles for resisting the exhausting toll that our desire to order the world inevitably takes. In a time when the human will increasingly imposes itself over every sphere of life - from our social structures to our emotional states - Peterson warns that too much security is dangerous.

Beneficial book as a willing and open listener
Revisado: 12-20-22
Rather than assume I know it all…I re-listened to several passages just to make sure I can assess its importance and how much I may have previously under/over-weighted fundamental points in my own life and perspectives. I am thankful Dr. Peterson found the strength to publish this work.

Historia
In this brilliant book, Isabel Wilkerson gives us a masterful portrait of an unseen phenomenon in America as she explores, through an immersive, deeply researched narrative and stories about real people, how America today and throughout its history has been shaped by a hidden caste system, a rigid hierarchy of human rankings. Beautifully written, original, and revealing, Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents is an eye-opening story of people and history, and a reexamination of what lies under the surface of ordinary lives and of American life today.

Made me question if I could be different for others
Revisado: 02-16-21
This was a powerful yet difficult book to process “what it means to me” being an immigrant growing up in US and in a predominant middle-upper class area, where we were considered low-income family. I can relate to not being able to voice my internal emotions and dialog with the invisible and obvious “Caste” infrastructure.
