Loved the book. The narrator is very good. Each book flows from one to the next. Good listen I recommend this to all sci phi fans.

Very basic and no real build up for this story

I honestly think someone that has no real experience or did not do their research wrote this book. Its something to listen to so I will finish it but it is a predictable story line. The world ends as we know, prepper family goes to bug out location, bad people attack, they fight them off, so on and so on.

The story was very realistic and believable. Characters were developed well. Worth the buy. I would recommend this one to any one that likes end of the world as we know it books.

Worth the money. I have been listening to these type of books for a while and the only thing I find funny is the people described as grunts. Most of these grunts are just plain stupid. Did only stupid people survive?

I liked how this book had the people that were mentioned in the first book and told their stories. I cannot wait for the next installment of this series. Please hurry.

Alas, indeed and thus had me rolling my eyes.

I love Kristen Ashley's books and understand that she was trying to develop Josie's character, but I honestly felt the use of alas, indeed and thus were completely overused, making Josie appear to be pretentious rather than classy. I also felt that Josie was not raised in an environment that would culture this way of speaking and she certainly would not need to speak like that in her every day work life. Yes, I get that she was refined, classy and cultured and spent her time around "famous" people day in and and day out and she led a "jet setting" life. Rappers, models, photographers and actors can certainly have a broad range when speaking and I doubt that alas, indeed and thus are used very frequently.

I kept finding myself picturing a "Martha Stewartish" character instead of a very attractive 45 year old women who suddenly has the attention of every male surrounding her. It made it difficult for me to visualize a man like Jake being so attracted to her.

I will continue to read Kristen Ashley's books, but I think I will pass on the other 2 books in series.
