Historia
Newlyweds Tricia and Ethan are searching for the house of their dreams. In search of a book to keep her entertained until the snow abates, Tricia happens upon a secret room. One that contains audio transcripts from every single patient Dr. Hale has ever interviewed.

Despite some of the groans, I had well saying you’ve got to be kidding me, overall the book was a fun listen.

Unbelievably stupid protagonist
Revisado: 09-06-24
I did manage to finish this book, but throughout the entire story could not believe how stupid the protagonist was. Since the author has provided me with hours of entertainment on her other novels, I wanted to give this one a chance to see how would wrap up. I wish I could say everything came to a clever end, but there so much stupidity in this book, I could not recommend.

Historia
Perla Wultz lives with her husband, Grant, and their precious daughter, Sophie, in a gated Pasadena community. Affluent, sociable, and accomplished, Perla plays the part of loving wife and mother to perfection. It seems an ideal life, if not for a decades-old crime that has become Perla’s dark and consuming secret obsession. Twenty-three years ago, Leewood Folcrum confessed to murdering two young girls during a birthday party. Though he’s been condemned to a life sentence, his crime is not forgotten.

One of a kind
Revisado: 08-30-24
One thing that I do appreciate of AR Torre is her ability to come up with unique story ideas for each novel. Although in someways, this was quite a disturbing story, it is like passing a car accident on the highway you cannot help, but to look. It started a little slow but quickly gain speed and held my attention through the entire novel. I also give her credit for not being overly graphic with violence which she lets the listener imagine for themselves. This novel may not be for everyone, but it is definitely very well written and a unique read and will hold your interest.

Sleepy Small Town Drama
Revisado: 08-05-24
I listen to many court room thrillers and in my opinion this one is not much of a thriller. It was an okay story but not one that engaged me so much that I have a desire to listen to any further books in in this series.

Kept me thoroughly engaged
Revisado: 03-16-24
Another great novel by Lisa Gardner. I found the story to be engaging, unique and unpredictable. Frankie is as likeable as she is flawed. I always thought the DD Warren series was my favorite, but I am beginning to like the stories around Frankie every bit as much. I will not say much about this novel as I would hate to give anything away other than the fact, I found it very enjoyable. I look forward to Lisa‘s next novel. :)

Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Historia
It’s been a decade since Trumanell Branson disappeared, leaving only a bloody handprint behind. Her pretty face still hangs like a watchful queen on the posters on the walls of the town’s Baptist church, the police station, and in the high school. They all promise the same thing: We will find you. Meanwhile, Tru's brother, Wyatt, lives as a pariah in the desolation of the old family house, cleared of wrongdoing by the police but tried and sentenced in the court of public opinion and in a new documentary about the crime.

Slow Burn but so Worth it
Revisado: 02-14-24
A few hours into this book, I was just about ready to give up as it seems so slow moving although I was very interested in the outcome. I turned to the Internet to get some spoilers but after a couple hours, even though I had a gist of what was to happen, I had to go back to the book to get the full story. It is very well written and it does grab you. All I can say is be patient with the pace of the book as it is well worth it.

Twisted
Revisado: 10-29-23
An interesting listen with an ending I did not see coming. I listen to a lot of thrillers, and usually have an idea what to expect at the end. This one totally blindsided me which is a good thing. The only reason I did not give five stars to this book is because I felt, the women were too trusting, and should have been a little more suspicious than they were.

There’s chaos in Hollywood at the end of the New Year’s Eve countdown. Working her graveyard shift, LAPD detective Renée Ballard waits out the traditional rain of lead as hundreds of revelers shoot their guns into the air. Only minutes after midnight, Ballard is called to a scene where a hardworking auto shop owner has been fatally hit by a bullet in the middle of a crowded street party.

A new respect for a beautiful soul
Revisado: 08-16-23
I am so glad Sinead shared her voice with us. She was so much more than I ever gave her credit for. It is a shame how society can falsely create such a negative perception of a beautiful soul. Sinead may have had mental health issues but it no way was she crazy. In all honesty, I don’t know if I could have made it to 56 if I had if endured what she had. She was not just a beautiful voice but also a beautiful soul. The only complaint I have about this book is that I wish it had lasted longer and had gone more in depth.
