for us logical thinkers who need more proof that we are not the crazy ones, yes this happened to you, yes you were fooled, yes you can forgive yourself. I like how she says you do not have to forgive anyone who is not remorseful or sorry for their behavior as well as anyone who does not change their behavior. I felt liberated, there's so much pressure to forgive in order to heal. I cannot forgive my abusers. I don't want to either. I do however want to forgive myself + give myself compassion instead of wasting it on people who don't care about me. this is a great book, listen over + over 👏

My First Ever Audible Review

what I experienced while listening to this incredible book was nothing short of a spiritual experience (especially chapters 13 & 14) HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I've been on this path of enlightenment for approximately 10 years and have always felt like I wasn't doing it "right". No author on this subject has ever explained that judging yourself is a form of self abandonment, how to stop judging yourself (for example: insisting you have to "do it right, perfect, etc" to be loved & approved of by others) and gives examples of what it sounds like when you're not loving yourself and how to heal your wounded self. I do think this book found me at this divine time & I am so grateful for Dr. Paul 🙏 get this one!!
