The overall story was sweet and interesting. It was well written and the narration was great. The criticism is that there were several chapters that were simply unnecessary. The story could have been told in almost half of the time.

It was an overall win with a few missed opportunities. When you are a fan of this genre you just can’t accept an “alpha” who is so indecisive. And the fact she’s a woman was just an insult! Having a title of leader, being given power to lead and then NEEDING to ask all the men what to do was terrible and sad to read. It was such a chance to showcase women’s right to enjoy sexual freedom and still be powerful when leading in situations other than with their bodies and sexuality. Yes, it’s fantasy but it illustrates so much more. Aside from those issues the story was a good one!!

Always great when there’s closure!! I hope you give us some adventures with the gang in the Private Eye business! It is bound to be dangerous, hilarious, sexy, and with a lot of twist and turns! I look forward to meeting new characters and catching up with some old ones!!

I’m very impressed with how well the subjects of mental illness, substance use disorders, social work and policing were portrayed in the book. The characters displayed their emotions that were heartfelt, frustrating, compassionate, confusing, and tired. The overlapping romance was a good addition, along with the family and work drama. The author clearly did the research or has lived some aspects of the life!! Well done!!

As always, another heartfelt and profound journey shared!! The book gave us an insight into two familiar perspectives. Most of us experience a version of these women from time to time and they were illustrated beautifully. Both characters had their moments of annoyance but were overall believable. Considering their age and the life experience, the story was well done!!

This was a fantastic story! It is always nice to see main characters who are in their 40’s and 50’s. We still love and get into life situations even at that age!! Although some of the plot flow and specifics are a bit far fetched, it was well done and made for a great journey!!
